I hope he signs within the first mins of spring signing to get it over with! I also hope the transfer thing clears up quickly.

I've heard he feels like UK's back up plan. That all sounds good but if they came calling i have a hard time believing he would turn them down. But maybe I'm just overthinking it bc he hasnt officially committed yet.

The UK Assistant that recruited him is gone. I said last week he's a UC lean. Still believe that.

I don't think that Orlando Antigua leaving has a lot to do with him going/not going to UK. He wouldn't play directly for Antigua and if that were the case he would look into USF. They will most likely have a spot especially if Josh Heath transfers. If Cal wants him bad enough, open scholly or no, he will offer.

I am not familiar with this crystal ball thing but is it that good of a sign that 9/10 people predict him going to Mizzou? Also, he has visited two other schools and has not checked us out. How much does that play a factor?

I think all of the info before yesterday is a few months old. Also, I think his charges being dropped changed his availability in the eyes of our coaching staff.

All of those crystal balls were from a while ago when experts were saying that they'd be very surprised if he doesn't commit to Mizzou during or a little after his visit. He obviously never did. Now, the only updates we have been hearing recently is that he is a UC lean and the only crystal ball in the last couple months has him going to UC can only be a positive thing.

Good deal. Thanks for the info, I don't really follow other sites so thats good to hear.

wow i've been away from the board for a while, but if we get graham my outlook on next season went from rebuilding year to a top 25 team. Deberry and graham are both ready to play college ball right now, I don't know which I'm more excited to see, but are 2 worse players next year are going to be our 2 seniors, no question about that.

have you actually seen DeBerry or Graham play? how do you even know this?

I think she's saying because they're JuCos, they have college experience, which technically is correct. However, the level of competition will be far different. It's tough to tell how well they'll translate.

graham yes there are like 7 good videos on youtube and deberry went 10-10 from the field in the last game he played. Deberry is without question going to be our best option at center next year with those numbers, and obviously the game when he was 10 for 10 from the field was against good competition because it knocked off deberry's team from moving on in post season play in junior college and at that level most of those kids are going to play high level D1 basketball. and the previous game before that he was 8-10 from the field.

okay so the answer is no. highlight video's of Graham dunking while at Word of God Academy or stat lines from DeBerry when he likely was being guarded by an extremely undersized center don't mean you have seen them. keep in mind that Graham was the 4th option on his team at Chipola at the end of the year. i check all of those things as well, but i still haven't seen them play.

they definitely could be ready to go- and i certainly hope so. i think UC needs at least DeBerry to contribute next year. but none of us have any clue if they can play good enough defense to get minutes. we all know that if they don't defend, cronin won't give them legit minutes - especially starting minutes. i just think we need to be hesitant to declare how good players will be when the modern JUCO first year high impact rate at UC and in general is very low. we fall in love with the unknown and under Cronin's program it is not easy for newcomers to come in and start/thrive immediately.

Well Graham is#1 at his position and deberry is #3 at his so the answer is yes they are really good, I think the people that rank players in rivals 247 kinda know what they r talking about.

Graham was averaging over 20 points a game around the time of the incident that caused him to be suspended. That probably had something to do with why he sort of faded away when he came back to the team. Of the JUCO players Cronin has signed, I am fairly certain he would be the only one that was a top recruit out of high school as well. I think it is fair to say he'd be the most D-I ready JUCO player under Mick Cronin. I understand the wait and see mentality you are talking about but Graham isn't comparable to any of the other JUCO guys (they were almost all big men too).

i never said they didn't. i just originally asked if you had seen them play- and you haven't.

juco talent isn't what it was 20 years and historically they all have significantly struggled in their first year under cronin. guys who don't guard won't see significant minutes. we don't know if they can guard. i am just trying to temper people's expectations because we can learn from history. i want them to be awesome - i just don't want all of us to be upset if they struggle.
