I'm not sure it's home vs away so much. It seems to be more does the other team have a 5 who can shoot? If not and Vogt can just worry about defending paint, it makes it very difficult on the other team. Of course if they can pull Vogt out of the paint it is a whole different story.

Also, Tulsa has missed a number of makeable threes. Sometimes it's just getting lucky that they miss shots.

Omg haha haha

UC basketball feels like a lifetime movie where the abusive husband beats his wife up and she leaves but then he turns up With flowers the next day only to beat her again in a few days

Gotta sharpen up that D 44 points is unacceptable

2nd half was much better.

But dude.

This defense will collapse in road games because teams won’t turn it over like this and they sure as hell won’t go 0-18 from 3

That said... we defended our asses off and played hard.

But that’s also a lot tougher to replicate on the road.

I’m still not a fan of the schematics of this defense with these players.

Jarron’s poor defense is far more exposed in this defense with no one manning the paint

You’re right to some extent. Better teams won’t miss shots but you worry about that when it gets here. Enjoy the 30 point win.

Oh I enjoyed it.

I just think we can get even better if we switch defenses every once in a while and...... play Diarra more.

He really gives us the rim protecting defense we need.

Dou is really developing.

CJB and his staff know how to develop bigs

Yeah. Next year went from looking like a .500 team, to a possible bubble team. Vogt will be one of the best centers in the league. Diarra looks to be improving. We will miss Jarron but maybe a couple people can step up.

Have I mentioned that I like Diarra? He just had another excellent stretch and we went on a run during it. He effects the game in so many ways with his size and athleticism.

he is decent against unstructured offensives such as Tulsa and UConn. Against structured offenses with good passing he struggles. Glad he appears to be progressing, I'm certainly rooting for him.

Brannen said in the postgame that diarra didn’t know any of the plays until recently. Exactly what most of us on here said. There was a reason he wasn’t playing. Sometimes it’s not the coaches fault.

There are so many things the fans don’t really know or understand. We see 40 minute games and think we know all the answers. We have no idea what underlying issues are going on, but we sure know the easy fixes.

We need some combination of Scott, William's, and Jaevin giving us points. If 2 or more are giving us nothing it's going to be really hard to score. We already get so little from everyone not named Vogt and Jarron we need at least 2 of those to have good nights.

I think the Bearcats found their fab 5 with Jaevin in with the starters and Cland bringing the ball up. Jaevin seems to do better with Cuz on the court. I know Cland may be challenged at times with the ball handling but is there anyone who thinks he can not develop?. This is the reason he came back for a Senior year. CJB should recognize this and start this group IMO. With all due respect we get nothing out of the two point guards we have been starting.

McNeal is worse than Jihad Muhammed and that's saying a lot, thank god he is only here one year and he has to play out of necessity I guess but he is a Quadri Moore in a point guard form. Mika needs to stay out of foul trouble and Jarron needs to be running the point when Mika is out. I don't understand how McNeal takes minutes from Harvey at this point, can Harvey be that much worse? I know Harvey is not at PG but like everyone has said, we look so much more explosive with Jarron running the show and Jaevin on the wing. I think Diarra continues to take away Sorollas minutes.

Mcneal is worse than my unborn nephew who has no arms or legs and is in a damn womb

Yah that was quite a shocker. What that means for the rest of this year is probably some higher quality minutes from Dou...but for seasons beyond this year when he knows the offense from the start should help us quite a bit. Maybe we don't need two bigs in this recruiting class. Add a solid 5 and then take the best player(s) you can find. Dou can make us 2 deep at the 4 and 5.

I haven't seen Jarron looking quite so happy in a presser for a long time. I hope this was the game that gave him the spark of confidence this team will need to go on the road and pull out some wins.
