Love Jaquon but he isn't a pg. He is a stop gap. He will be steady and reliable but isn't the answer. He is playing point because outside of Cash there isnt anyone else who can. Again, there was a reason Mick tried so hard to sign a pg.

JP's future is on the wing. His skill set better suited there.

If Cash doesn't improve throughout the season he'll have to worry about either Guyn or Davis taking his job next year... I'm trying not to overreact but he was very underwhelming in the opener.

it seems like Cashmere doesn't know what's going on. Everytime he gets the ball it's like he's so nervous he don't know what to do, he's so afraid he's going to mess up. I had high hopes for him, and maybe he'll turn it around next game, but I don't see it. For Parker though, I'm not saying he's a great point guard, just saying he's better than Cash. Maybe next year, one of them Freshman can get the job.

I get the sense that Cash is pushing too hard rather than not knowing what's going on. He desparately wants to play well and win and instead of playing within the flow of the game and taking what the defense gives, he is trying too hard to push things.

The good thing is that Cash will get to play thru mistakes this season and learn on the court. He has the tools to be a good point guard, but he needs to realize when his speed is an asset, and when he is forcing things and playing out of control. If Cash would play with JP's patience and use his speed effectively (i.e. change up tempo/speed with the ball) he would be fine. I look for him to grow and improve throughout the non conf games.

this team goes as far as Cash takes us. that simple.

The one thing that really irritated me about Cronin last year was when he didn't use Cash much in the non-conference slate and allow him to learn and grow through his mistakes. He'd make one bad play and would get yanked out quickly. This makes players play too nervous for fear of getting taken out. Freshman have to be able to make mistakes to learn what not to do, especially at the pg position. Once conference play rolled around Cash hadn't gotten much experience and got overwhelmed by the good pg's of the Big East and still wasn't getting time. It wasn't until the Louisville game that Cash was given decent minutes and allowed to do what he could do. I was really impressed with his play in the conference tourney and NIT games. He was so good defending on the fast break and forcing TO's. He had a bad game the other night. He was nervous. I think he'll be fine, mostly because like you said he'll be able to play through the bad games.

When I hear Mick talk about Cash, it seems pretty clear that he has a lot of confidence in Cash. He was especially complimentary of his practice Wendesday night on his radio show, saying it was the best he has ever seen Cash play.

Cash is going to get plenty of opportunity to lead this team. In my opinion that is a good thing.
