Smart. Must have realized coming back to u.c. would do nothing for his development for the nba.

Also, this is front pages espn.com news. Thats pretty cool.

Going to be a long year...

Never really felt like Jake was a gamer. All the talent, but missing something. May fit nicely as a role player in the league.

Hasn't hired an agent yet but he told ESPN he's not coming back to school.

Not true no guarantee on first round....

Evans will not hire an agent at this time, preserving the option to return to school for his senior year, pending the feedback he receives from NBA teams.

"I didn't sign an agent yet, but I'm entering my name with plans on getting picked in the first round. I'm not just testing to come back to school," Evans said.

We all wish he would be that dominate scorer at some point but it wasn’t in his DNA. Much like Gary. He gave it his all for 3 years, played great defense and always had a great attitude. Can’t ask for much more. I say, go try to live your dream. Sucks for the team next year but that’s not his fault

Jacob Evans deserves better, but I do not see him as a first round selection. I'm sure he is tired of the school routine, but next year he could show he can be a dominant player. It would worth his time to give him a chance for first round selection.

Well I guess forget what the scouts say, M64W in Cincinnati says he's a no go

Lmao not a gamer
He couldn't be a dominant scorer with constantly having 2 bigs clogging the lane
Was a great player here

Overall I'm not surprised about him going. I assumed he was gone after this year. He hit the cold spot towards the end of the season that made me think a little that he could return, but if I had to put money on it I would have said hes gone. I think no matter when he gets drafted he will have a very solid career in the NBA. I'm happy for him.

Besides losing a big talent for next years team, it really does stink to know how his last game went down.

I don't know who we are going to get for next year but it be someone good.

Starters next year:
Cane
Cumberland
Williams
Scott
Brooks

Well this is awful, but hey, his life. Don't see him sticking anywhere but I'm sure as **** pulling for him. Good luck Jake!

Good for Jacob he is a great kid with a great game he deserves it all. selfishly as fans we want him to stay but, if he has an opportunity to play basketball and make millions of dollars for it you can’t fault him for it.

Good luck Jacob I’m rooting for ya!

Hope he lands in a great spot with guaranteed money. We won’t win 15 games next year with only two players opposing teams need to guard.

We won a bunch of games when the opposing teams only had to guard SK. Slow your roll. It obvious we wont be as good as we were these past 2 years, but we will be fine.

Si, bleacherreport, ESPN, landof10, nbadraft

None of these sites project Jacob top 30... I'm not sure what teams are saying to him, but his first round hopes look poor to me....

He's going even if its not in the first round is my guess. Now if he's the backend of the second round I could see him staying, but even if he goes early second round you know he's going to eventually get paid.

JE will make plenty of money in the league and he's ready to start doing so it's that simple. He's not coming back IMO. We need to all move on.

Okay! Whether Jacob moves on or not, tell me why he averaged only 13 ppg on a team that needed much more offense, needed someone to be the go to guy, and needed some outside presence? If he has NBA talent, why is that?
