Finally you guys are seeing what I saw three years ago. This hiring never should have happened. Babcock hired this guy without even interviewing him or any other candidates!

The hire made Babcock look good on paper so that he could jump ship to a better paying job.

And to make it worse, we're 0-2 in the American. Wow, what a joke this season has turned into. I see a bunch of coaches and players thinking they were automatically going to win because of UC's past successes. The team, including coaches aren't mentally or physically tough. They haven't earned anything and this season shows. This team drank its own kool aide and now is paying for it.

Bball is looking national this year, so we have something to look forward to as the weather cools.

Another shot!

How Steve Clinkscale wakes up today and still has a job is beyond me. Not sure how TT feels comfortable facing his team and public afer that performance. This team has zero leadership. If you guys want to see something as embarrassing as the game, watch the post game press conference with TT. Mehhh, its whatever right? We just got "whipped". I hope Bohn gets a backbone and takes action. TT clearly accepts getting " whipped" but UC as a program and its fans have worked to hard to accept this garbage.

I don't think that is necessarily a good or bad thing and I believe you can choose when to take your mission(correct me if I'm wrong) plus even though someone is 21 years old as a freshmen, they still have as much experience as our 18-19 year old freshmen. I don't think it makes a huge difference.

I would just respectfully disagree. I think they must complete the mission work early on. I don't think it as they choose. I must admit, I'm not sure either. But look at their roster, many are much older. Not to mention, playing a 4800 feet above sea level takes a lot out of a player. Just as we saw with UC last night fading in the fourth quarter, the ESPN announcers also indicated that fading late has been a problem for other teams too. The QB was a freshman and he was 22 according the ESPN announcers. Our freshman QB is 18. Secondly, there is a big mental and physical difference between a 24 year old and 18 year old. No doubt about it.

I'm not a college football expert by any means and don't really watch a lot of it, but how in the world does Boone have so few carries? The guy looks like a stud and is a threat to break it long on every single play. If Moses created a hole for Williams and Green they'd still only pick up 20 yards.

That and absolutely no blitzing from a defense. If your defense sucks you better try something to confuse the offense. They line up the same way every time, give the quarterback plenty of time to throw, and then let their DB's have a PI against them.

1. No excuse for giving up in only a two score game with 5 minutes left... ON NATIONAL TV. What recruit is going to want to play for UC now?
2. No excuse for abandoning the run completely with 1.5 quarters left and a tie game/1 score game.
3. No excuse for Boone not getting more carries unless he aggravated an injury. (Check it, I've been a huge Boone supporter since I saw him last year).
4. Watch Tuberville bench Moore for next game even though he wasn't the problem.

Boone 9 carries for 53 yards averaging 5.9 ypc. Long 21. Adjusted average (ignoring longest run) is 4.0 ypc.
Green 9 carries for 30 yards averaging 3.3 ypc. Long 16. Adjusted average is 1.75 ypc.
Hosey 8 carries for 29 yards averaging 3.6 ypc. Long 15. Adjusted average is 2.0 ypc.

It's not even close based on what I saw if you factor in how bad the pass protection was when Green was in the game late. Also Boone had 3 catches for 25 yards while the other two had 0 combined.

No brainer.

Yeah but Boone's only a sophomore therefore he is not allowed to play ahead of the other two. #Tubbyclownlogic

One problem I saw through most of the game was that BYU would bring a blitz at times 6 guys and UC would be trying to throw the ball 40 yards down the field. Note to Eddie Gran, when teams blitz dump the ball off over the middle or use screen passes. The QB can unload the ball quicker and it keeps the linebackers from blitzing making the cover the backs coming out of the backfield for the screens. I really hope Eddie is reading this. Ha, ha

Tuberville is 21-11 at Cincinnati. 3 of those wins were over FCS schools, 3 were over Miami-OH which has been rated lower than some FCS schools all three years. One win was over winless SMU, another over 2-10 UConn, another over 1-11 Purdue. Without those fluff padding wins, Tubby clown is....

11-11 at Cincinnati.

I would like to know!

Dear Bearcat_NTS:

What I would like to know is why do you dislike Coach T so much? You have been calling for his head before he ever set foot on campus. What's the beef? Don't tell me because you knew all a long he was a bad coach. Come clean!

He's a mediocre coach that had a few great years aided by an incredible staff and great talent. The guy isn't the type of coach that will be successful here. We need an up and comer with a burning desire to win because they want to move up in the ranks. Look how we've been passed up by young and hungry coaches at Temple, Memphis and Houston. Our program is not progressing, we are stuck at 7-9 wins a year. Like I said when he was hired, the guy is going to slowly kill our program. I'd almost prefer a Kragthorpe type hire that can be dumped after 3 years rather than this guy.

I agree, Tubbs isn't/won't get the job done here. He is a CEO type coach who rely's on delegating coaching to his assistants. Our assistants are miserable mostly because our pay is miserable. The conversation unfortunately is like beating a dead horse.

This is the new normal. There might be a few rah-rah go team football fans left, but anyone who watches the games can clearly see the shift in the program since Tuberville took over.

POINT OF VIEW

This is like trying to change the mind of a Democrat, or Republican for that matter. If you have ever coached football at a high level, which I doubt many of you have, one has to delegate responsibility to their assistants. I think many of you believe that a head college coach should be running around yelling and screaming, changing the play calls, getting red in the face (aka Butch Jones) etc.
Let me see---UC lost to undefeated Temple who beat Penn State, lost to undefeated Memphis who just beat Ole Miss, and lost to BYU (5-2) who beat Nebraska, Boise St. and lost by one point to UCLA.
UC yearns to be like WVU, Louisville, Syracuse, and Rutgers (all teams who left for Power 5 conferences)---WVU is 3-3, Louisville is 2-4, Syracuse is 3-3, and Rutgers is 3-3.
Some of you think if we could just hire Charlie Strong we would be undefeated (oh yea, Texas is 2-4) or bring back Butch Jones (well they are 3-3). Coaching is not an easy profession, to say the least!

So just throw the assistants under the bus? No one ever said Tuberville should be running around doing everything, but responsibility ultimately falls on the head coach. We have 3 losses by this point in the season every year now.

Those other schools you mention: They have tougher schedules, some of them were taken over in rebuilding situations, and some of those coaches are on the hot seat. Texas has a coach in year 2 of a rebuild and his seat gets warmer with every loss. Why should a coach in year 3, who didn't take over a rebuild, and is in a worse conference, not be questioned?
