This is a huge game for the cats. We do not control our destiny and can't control our past. Asking "What if" doesn't do us any good. All we can hope for is that we win this game and UCF loses against SMU.

UCF has been giving some of us heart trouble the last two games with VERY close games. They are looking, at the very least, vulnerable. The Cats, on the other hand, have gotten better almost every week since USF.

If I give us 50-50 chance against UL (since we are at home) and I give SMU a 50-50 chance at home against UCF...I would rate our chances at "roughly" 25% of getting the outcome we want. Bearcat win UCF loss.

Then we just have to pass them in the BCS which I think we have a decent chance. As OSU found out this weekend it's not over till it's over.

I pegged this in the preseason as a loss (I said @USF, @RU and vs UofL would be the losses). However, Louisville has kind of been like Cincinnati in that they have yet to put together a good game from start to finish. It seems like they haven't gotten better since the beginning of the season. I think Bridgewater has a big game, but they cannot put UC away until the end.

Prediction: Louisville 30 Cincinnati 21

UC finishes 9-3 like I said they would before the season started...

UC wins 35-18. Nippert will be rocking and I think we will come out firing on all cylinders. I do think that UCF beats SMU, however.

I think Bridgewater will have a pretty big game as many good QB's have against us. The question is whether or not we can keep them out of the endzone (which we have done a GREAT job of) when they get there and also whether or not we can move the ball (which hasn't been a problem recently).

Bottom line...I am not expecting a win or a loss. We have been playing great on O and have been doing a great job with "bend don't break" D. If this game was even in Vegas I would avoid it. If UL is given 7 points or more I would bet it. 3 points I would pass.

I believe the line is UC +3.5 currently, it's come down from +7.

"I don't see UC beating Rutgers, Houston or Louisville. SMU is probably a W. That means a 7-5 record with one of the worst schedules in America."

You also said this a few weeks ago so I'll take your predictions with a grain of salt despite your confidence.

-Keg of Nails replicas to the first 5,000 fans
-Cats at +3.5 currently
-This is a big game to keep momentum going for this program. Finishing the year at 10-2 with a top 25 win at home on national television will feel great (and sell some more bowl game tickets).
-Babcock says there will be several Reds and Bengals there which always helps perception when pro athletes come out to support the city's University.
-Anyone looking to go that doesn't have tickets yet, it is sold out except for a few in the upper corner. If that doesn't suit you, there are good seats available on stubhub for under $10; we need all the cats fans we can get.
-I will be there screaming my head off with a beer in hand and whiskey in pocket.

Go cats...and mustangs.

Louisville looked really good in the BCS game last year where they beat Florida. Other than that they haven't really looked dominant either of these past two seasons. Not that we have either. Last year we had them all but beat and then our D crapped its pants. Should be a good game, glad we got it at home. I think the weather will be very important. Rain and wind will turn it into a running game and a defensive struggle. We'll have to establish the run and create some turnovers, while not turning the ball over ourselves. With turning the ball over being our Achilles heel all year, this weather doesn't bode well for us.

I have no idea what to expect for this game. Its going to be a crazy atmosphere. I think the weather can be a big factor. Its suppose to be steady rain with a chance of a wintery mix. It could be deemed the Slush Bowl!

I love Doc. I wish everyone could read the perception vs reality. Hopefully it will come though.

That was a good article. There is a lot more riding on this game than a win against UL, a possible conference title, a possible BCS bowl, etc. We need to take full advantage of these national spotlights for the future benefit of our program if we hope to get in a power conference down the road.

Coach TT seems to understand this as well as anyone.

Other than the first drive we have looked good on D. The picks aren't helping but the second one was more like a punt pinning them inside the 10...not a big deal. The first was just a great defensive play. We have moved the ball OK.

All in all we have played fairly well. To be down by only 3 at half is decent.

Come on Bearcats!!!

ya he is hard to watch at times meaning cause hes so hurt hes only got 2 games left in his career tho he aint coming off field unless its in a cart

Does Tommy Tubervile always smile after a loss? Literally the moment the ball dropped, in a huge game for the present AND future of the program, after a heart-breaking overtime loss... he has a grin on his face a mile wide. I guess that's just his personality. I didn't see much to smile about.

Eddie Gran's redzone play calling is abysmal. They should have gone for the win in regulation and in OT at least try to gain some positive yardage on first down rather than run ANOTHER trick play. You cannot run trick plays if the DLine is in the backfield all game!
