UC vs Loserville

Eddie Gran's redzone play calling is abysmal. They should have gone for the win in regulation and in OT at least try to gain some positive yardage on first down rather than run ANOTHER trick play. You cannot run trick plays if the DLine is in the backfield all game!

Coupled with the fact that it seemed like we dropped a ton of balls tonight. I only got to watch parts of the game, but every time I looked, it seemed as if we dropped another pass.

Does Tommy Tubervile always smile after a loss? Literally the moment the ball dropped, in a huge game for the present AND future of the program, after a heart-breaking overtime loss... he has a grin on his face a mile wide. I guess that's just his personality. I didn't see much to smile about.

He knows he is leaving to take an SEC offer tomorrow.....just kidding (I hope)!

UC didn't play very well in this game offensively. With as bad as UofL was struggling that dropped pick six by Wilder came back to haunt UC. Also, a drop by Washington on a 3rd & short that would have kept the drive alive early in the 4th. Many missed opportunities in this game.

That was the name of this game. Personally I think the better team (UC) lost today. Why? Too many turnovers, dropped balls, and missed opportunities. We had more than enough chances and didn't get it done. We should have got a touchdown on the final drive of the 4th quarter. Our players didn't make the plays they should have. Regardless it was still a fun game to be at but damn I can't stand looyeville and their fans. Whoever #3 for the cards was a punk. All game he just ran his mouth, making hand gestures to UC right next to the sideline. They got no class.

It was pretty clearly a sarcastic smile. Like a "F***, really?" smile. Not sure what you're implying, that he doesn't really care?

Agree. TT has class and showed it after the game. What else can you do? I mean UC should have sacked Teddy so many times at the end but he made some unreal plays. What can ya do.

that is the greatest spelling of louisville i have ever seen...made my freaking week...agree with your take on the game...the last goal-line possession was frustrating at best...UC fought hard and i still think they put on a good showing for the national audience...hopefully they get a solid bowl selection

I think it was a smile because he was happy to have witnessed a good game. There were alot of positives to take away from last night.

What a great game and atmosphere. I didn't even really notice the cold or rain. Sucks we lost. I think Louisville showed they were the better team even though it took a couple of fluke plays to beat us. They controlled us at the line. I'm honestly surprised we got as many stops as we did on them. Their offense beat themselves on some drives, as did ours. Bottom line is we had too many missed opportunities. We had the lead and the ball several times and never capitalized. I thought we got a little too cute at crunch time with the play calling trying trick plays. Honestly, I think they did it because Tuberville has no confidence in Kay throwing passes in the short field of the red zone and our line couldn't get any push in the running game. Had one of those plays worked we would be praising them for it. The thing that sickens me the most about the loss is the fact that we lost our last two games to them and we have no chance in the foreseeable future of getting them back.

I don't know I thought they were pretty evenly matched. Total yards, first downs and posession time were very close. We gave up one more INT and we dropped some passes and I thought we made some questionable play calls at times. When Luallen is in the game everyone knows what is coming and it didn't work. Runs up the middle weren't working so we tried that a few too many times when I would have rather seen the ball in Kay's hands. We had our chances to put the game away and collectively we dropped the ball. Man we could have used that win but at least we didn't embarass ourselves in the national spotlight...that would have been much worse for us.
