Agree with pretty much everything you said. But I don't think Rubles can guard another teams 5 unless they are a smaller team....I think it's up to Mick to get the confidence going in him. He has to know that when you drive into the lane you have to look to shoot.

Williamson was a completely different player than Rubles and they put him on the block and ran a motion offense. But I get what you are saying and I agree. I expected more from Rubles even though I think he needs to be on the court. I just don't think he is being put in a position to utilize his strengths.

HOW THE HELL DOES PARKER PISS YOU OFF????????????? if anything he is my favorite player on the team........... he is a straight up warrior

He doesn't piss me off but I cannot stand the way he flops and tries to draw a foul every time he drives instead of just going up strong. His FT's and turnovers drive me nuts too...I love his offensive rebounding though.

I don't know if any of you realize what this guy actually does, when you go to a game just watch him play for 3 straight possesions, and tell me he isn't doing exactly what he is supposed to do, he is guarding the best player on the other team, maybe that's why his freethrows arn't going down, because he has to play such tough defense that his legs are tired, he is playing with a sprained ankle, a groin injury, and it seems like he is always on the floor for loose balls more than anyone on the court, there was one rebound he got to last night, where there were two nova players in position to get the rebound and who were both taller than parker, and parker just wanted it more. I love player like Jaquon parker and Rashad Bishop, because those are complete basketball players. PArker is a complete team player and he never takes a play off, idk if I can say that for anyone else on the team.

I think the point was ASPECTS of Parker piss him off. You can still love a player and be pissed at things he does.

He isn't a complete player because he can't make ft's...sorry had the be that guy. :D But I do love his hustle.

Don't get me wrong, I like Parker. Still drives me nuts that he flops and doesn't make FT's. I think the thing with Parker is he is probably exceeding his talent level. I think he has a lot of shortcomings and they get exposed from time to time but for the talent he has to work with he does a very good job.

Bishop is another story. He was anything but a complete player. Though Parker has mimicked some of Bishops inbounding blunders.

Right. And a guy that is good but you could see how he could be great can piss you off a lot more than a guy that is terrible and never shows any flashes of anything else.

Parker is a hard worker. If that kid could hit free throws and has just an tad more quickness in his first step...holy crap he'd be good.

I dont care if he misses all of his freethrows, i still want trade it for everything he does for us, 3-3 from three point land last night, and yes he is a complete player.

He can't finish around the rim either, therefore he isn't a complete player.

I disagree here. Parker shot nearly 70% last year from the stripe. If I recall he was also even better in clutch moments.

Something psychological is in his head right now and that could change at any moment. Mick needs to switch up Parker's routine or something.

You are correct. He does seem to make them in the clutch. Now if he could just shoot every FT with that same level of concentration.

He is also a great defender and a tough a## rebounder. Even in a crowd he gets his share of boards. He also brings the ball up the court at times. We would be hurtin for certin without Parker. I am mystified by his poor FT shooting this year. He hasn't been anywhere near this bad last season. Last year he was 68%. I hope this corrects itself going forward this year. He is due for a nice run at the line. With his slashing style it is imparartive he hits his FT's. He already has 22 more FT's this year than last. He also is shooting better from 3 this year. If he made his Ft's at the same clip as last year his overall output would be much improved.

Parker is a career 60% FT shooter. Last year was his best year and he shot 68%. He is at 54% right now. I wouldn't count on him just being able to turn it on.

Needs some tutelage from Oscar!

Who cares what he shot last year. We live in this year and this year he sucks. To think he is just going to start shooting 70% is ignorant. No one is arguing his effort and rebounding ability but when you can't finish around the rim and miss your ft's, sometimes he is a walking turnover.

i was saying that Parker has had to bang down low like a 4 in the BEast...i do not expect to see Shaq get more minutes than Rubles, but 2 minutes...Shaq, according to Mick, was going to be a savior to the stagnation this offense suffered for the last couple of years...if Rubles knew what to do when he got in to the lane, i would have less issues with him...he gets there, brings the ball down to his knees, and tries to pass out...it is great that he is 2nd on the team in assists...but is that saying a whole lot with this team...i want to see a Rubles be the one "big" on the floor, and guards and forwards around him...this will force him to work down low, and get to the line where he has done great this year...going in to the year, i was really excited for Rubles...i guess i was expecting too much...but i look at John Williamson and when he came in, he struggled a bit, but continued to improve...just havent seen that from Rubles...i am dying for it to start to click for him soon...dying for this team to start to click

If only Rubles had a touch from the floor like he does from the charity stripe.................but alas, poor Yorick.......

What the hell are you talking about he and kilpatrick are the two best players at finishing around the rim on the team. In the half court offense it seems like he is the only one that can get to the rim from the perimeter period, that made no sense that he can't finish at the rim, he is a great finisher at the rim, I dont know where you got that stat from??

Besides if all of you are looking for someone to blame for last night parker is the last person you should be looking at.

To think he just suddenly forgot how to shoot them is ignorant. The point is he didn't just become a bad FT shooter. He'll go on a good streak and hopefully it will be when we need hiim most. His form is good and he is a 40 % shooter from 3. I haven't run the numbers but I perdict there isn't many guys who shoot it at that clip from 3 and are under 60% from the line. Actually to think a guy who shoots that well will continue to shoot FT's that bad is ignorant. Especially considering he has historically shot much better.

UCAlum doesn't always see the big picure. While he is right we didn't get points. Getting the other teams bigs in foull trouble can also be a advantage. It also creates team fouls which gets us in the bonus for our other shooters. It also sits guys with foul trouble on the bench. He really doesn't always understand the big picture.
