I think he could be a solid glue guy. Play great defense and get boards. You need those guys. But if you are full of those guys it's not great

Yeah I agree. If he ends up as a role player, that's fine. That's pretty much what I'm saying he looks like. But we have to get another 4 in place for when the other guys are gone. I'm just not comfortable putting all the future PF eggs in the Scott basket at this point.

Bearcat journal just said on Twitter gary didn't have one defensive rebound and Troy had twice as many turnovers than assist. This is why I don't just blame the coach. Not sure what he could have done about those things

What a joke. Especially towards Gary. UCF had 10 OREB and 34 missed shots. That's only 29.4%. Oh and those clowns can't count. Troy had 4 assists and 4 TOs.

Come on. That's an overreaction. Has he not helped this year? Are you forgetting the entire season so far?

If you go back to the Tulsa home game, he came in the game first off the bench and I was disappointed it was him over Cumberland (found out later Cumberland was suspended). But then I said something along the lines of "He's just not able to help us." And I've been talking about a 4 in 2018 more recently as well. So I swear it's not just an emotional overreaction to take him down. I honestly don't care about him missing that oop today. We didn't deserve to win anyway, so I'm not just killing him for that.

One thing we have to do, now and in the future and is on the coach. Is figure out how to push tempo against teams like that. We have the athletes. Can't win many games scoring in the 50s anymore.

I agree. The coaches blindness of seeing what we see road game after road game is maddening. We continue to let the other team dictate the style of play. We made it so easy for UCF to defend us for 32 minutes. By then, it was too late. I have serious concerns if this and coaching staff has what it takes to win next Sunday...

Two things I didn't like in this game. Troy had some major lapses on D and absolutely letting Fall get in their head.

Couldn't agree more. They played the game UCF wanted and it was hard to watch. This team is too athletic to lose this game which makes me nervous come tourney time. Really wouldve liked to see this team win the American but it's not gonna happen.

Just listened to the radio postgame. I will give Mick credit for calling out Kyle Washington for terrible shot selection and not passing the ball. Finally Mick sees what I've been seeing since the Butler game. Mick you finally said a smart comment. Maybe he read my posts.

I'm glad Mick recognizes this as a problem. But I'd have more respect for him if he just coached his player to improve in this aspect rather than call him out publicly. I hate when coaches do that.

And if you are going to single out a player, you gotta say it like "Kyle's shot selection was poor today. I need to coach Kyle better on that. I haven't done a good enough job working with him on it, but that's something we'll work on going forward." Then you don't come off as petty in shifting all the blame on your players.

I'd love for someone in the Cincy media to ask Mick about this. It was glaring how much better our offense looked with Jenifer in.

I just want someone to ask how this team can only muster 49 points on the road. Mention how bad we are away from 5/3 and what can happen to make sure we don't play like that in postseason play.

if your getting hammer on the boards it is tough to run. If you want to push the ball rebound the darn basketball.

Rebound, better shot selection and knock down some wide open looks.

Not going to sugar coat this ugly game but there were a couple of bright spots if Mick is willing to adjust a little (which I kinda doubt). The past couple of games Cumberland hasn't shot great but he's driving to the bucket and dishing as well he has been cutting to the bucket for easy scores. Those easy scores (including his nice assists) are what we need more of on the road to fix our shooting %. I thought Jenifer played well and has been playing well for a while. He was able to penetrate a little and kick it back out. It was nice to see Evans shooting better on the road as well.

I would like to see a ramp up in minutes for Cumberland and JJ the way Troy has been playing. It's a shame to watch a senior struggle like this. Jenifer has been fantastic lately with assists to turnovers and he can't really shoot any worse than Troy right now.

I will not jump on the Scott sucks bandwagon because he blew a dunk. Keep it respectful regarding Scott. No need to humiliate our student athletes.

If we shoot just 10% better than abysmal we win. BJ Taylor went off and won the game. He was the only player on the court that can create a shot whenever he wants and we really don't have one of those right now. I wish we had a go to guy. I wish we could shoot better on the road. That's about it. It's not next year yet so we have to figure out how to do something about it this year.

One player virtually shut down Clark and Washington and our wings shot 11-33As a team we shot 29% from the 2 and the 3 point line. We turned the ball over more then normal and were out rebounded on senior day. Anyone still want to know why we lost. We didn't play well and still if Scott makes the flush we probably win in OT.

I'd be more interested in hearing him talk about what he's going to do to fix it. Mick's post game comments were pretty good, minus his obligatory griping about defense and toughness, he's right about passing and shot selection.

I'd love to know what his plan is to fix these issues, this is a talented team that can be very dangerous if it scores. How are we going to adjust to allow these guys to get easier buckets away from home?

Troy did not play well but his ceiling is what we need to do well going forward. Sitting him is not the answer. Him playing up to his capabilities is. We need our conference player of the year to play like one. Putting JJ in more often is not the answer.
