If you don't throw it into the post in our half court sets you won't be getting many good looks on the perimeter. Now if we are able to hit the defensive glass and push the pace that would certainly help us. But in half court Gary and Kyle are going to have to pose a threat to open up the wings.

I don't agree. Clark has to be in the high post and Washington needs to be picking and popping. Going at the 7'6" guy early is a recipe for disaster. That crowd will feed off of Taylor being back already, no need to let Fall get involved. Plus, our guys miss early against him,they get frustrated and can get taken out of the game. Pound the post when he's out. Spread the floor and push it when he's in.

Jake you don't think that we have to make them defend the post. I really think abandoning the post is playing right into their hands. I do agree with you that having our bigs hit some perimeter shots will certainly bode well for us, I really don't think you can abandon the paint. Again I'm not saying we should be playing into their strength which is denying the rim but we have to make them at least defend it. What of our offensive rebounding? Fall has fouled out of 3 games this year. You don't think its worth challenging him a bit to see if we can get a couple on him? He is only averaging 21 minutes a game. Have to believe some of that is foul related. I do agree we should push the pace after every rebound and try to stay out of half court sets.

I just think it all depends on if our jumpers are falling .

If they’re not falling, you have to take more effiecient shots. Some good big to big passing could really confuse the big tacko

How do you render him useless? You tell Broome, Jenifer, Evans, and Cumberland to push every chance they get off of missed shots and live ball turnovers. And you pull Clark and Washington away from the hoop in the halfcourt.

Who said the whole game? I'm talking when Fall is in. And again, more likely to foul in stand straight up post defense bc you're 7'6", or when you're 7'6" and being forced to move up and down and stray more than 10 feet from the hoop?

I think the high-low post game can be very effective against Fall. He is not mobile side to side at all. If you can get him to come out even to the free throw line to contest, or commit to one side of the basket, he's not quick enough to recover. Dribble drive and dump to the opposite block could be another effective play. Fall's lack of quickness also limits his rebounding ability. For these reasons, along with the fact that Tacko will often stay in the center of a zone regardless of what we do, I don't like the strategy of Clark and Washington roaming the perimeter. I would prefer to have our bigs active around the lane so that Fall has to defend a large area, rather than just easily swatting direct drives and low post moves.

I really think this is a game for Trevor Moore to shine in. I think either Evans or Cumberland or both will be in foul trouble early(road game refs) and I think Moore will get extra minutes and possibly 10 shot attempts. I am predicting 12+ pts for him tonight.

I won't be surprised if it's a gross game. I'm going to hold out hope that we can at least show we're trying to speed up the game. Lose here and at Houston becomes a huge game.
