Wednesday night @ 7:30 the Bearcats have UCF in their second to last home game.

UCF fell down 18-2 to Memphis yesterday and climbed back to a 31-28 halftime score and lost in OT to the Tigers.

Another huge game for the cats to not suffer a bad loss as the Knights are 12-14 (5-10).

Last meeting @ UCF saw UC win 56-46.

Watched that game . cats better not be looking beyond them or they will get beat. UCF battled the Tigers the whole game. Even after being down 18-2. They haven't quit on their season.

I like our chances in this one. Losing a 3rd straight home game is on the line. Obviously that can't happen. I expect us to come out looking to push. I'm still looking for one of those elusive full 40 minute games. I hope Quadri gets back on the floor. I'm feeling a big game for Cobb. Shaq in double digits again? He's had at least 8 in 3 of the last 4. I think we'll be -13.

I am not a fan of UCF. It always seems like Blair and the other big big boy play a little dirty. Maybe they are tired of losing to us. They are more like a thorn in our side than it being an entertaining match up.

what were we against ECU and Tulane. When you have a slim margin for error I'm always cautious. Especially when we seem to play down to our competition recently.

Would like to see them try and go a little faster-paced. Not even as a permanent thing, but maybe just a bit in the first half, just to see what happens. No matter the pace, if you're an NCAA Tourney team, you beat these guys at home, so why not? Then if you have a decent lead a half. Slow it down in the second half. Alright, now I'm getting sick of talking about the pace lol.

3 things I'll be looking for:

1) Really hoping last game wasn't just an outlier with Shaq. Keep attacking, without dribbling too much, and shoot open looks. That's his game. He's a train wreck when he thinks he's a point guard.
2) Keep giving Gary his touches down low. Whether or not it appears to be working, he will figure it out. Have to stay persistent.
3) I want the ball primarily in Caupain's hands. I want him to step back into that leader's role, and the best way to do that is to run plays through him and have him direct everything. Too many times recently he'll pass the ball at the beginning of the play, and suddenly he's gone. Need more assertiveness.

This team needs to put a full game together against UCF, although i dont think it will happen. They keep letting these bad teams play with them and it looks bad in the eyes of the tourney selection crew. Im thinking its gonna be another one of those ugly wins where we pull away at the end.

Hate to agree with that, but this team has yet to show any consistency so you're probably right. Very few good 40 minute performances (NC state).

Guys just don't think we have the consistent outside shot makers to overwhelm a opponent. I mean we outscore teams in the paint by big margins and haven't won some of those games.

We're going to come out firing tonight! 4 3s from Cobb, a double double from Clark, 20 combined from Shaq and TC with very few turnovers as a team. Add in 5 steals + blocks from Ellis, and a 2nd half 3 by Quadri Moore. Let's get an effort like against Temple the first time. We need to get our home court back!

Would certainly like to see us go on a 4 game run. More importantly, I would like to see us go back to playing with some intensity. Guard,hit the glass and make the other team earn everything they get. I feel recently the opposition has wanted it more then us.

I agree. TO's have been a issue. Would also like to knock down a few 3's and shoot at least 70% from the foul line in the next 4 games. Where you at Mio's for the X game. My son and i were there and didn't see you.

I'll take the turnovers if we're aggressive. I hate being passive then nutting up fumbling and bumbling turning ball over.

I was but it was after the game. I stayed for a beer afterwards but that's it. I couldn't get out of the office til 5:30 pm so I went straight to the game.


I will be there for the Memphis game. I've become good bar buddies with the gm there, Jen. She reserves me bar seats on busy game day haha. But we will be at Mio's at like 10:30 for Memphis. Hope you can make it!!
