Also, that REALLY sucks for Shaq. I sure hope for his sake he gets to play again this year...especially in the tourney(s).

Is Clark the go-to-guy? I want the ball in his hands. Caupain got stripped again late and had a 3-11 FG 8 PTS 0 AST 4 TO game overall. Cronin's first choice was Caupain last night...will that change next time?
Jake what has to change is TC has to be able to adjust when the double comes or draw a foul. Having the ball to start in his hands is not a bad thing. Is Clark the guy you want to give the ball to and say go win the game. For me it depends on where he gets the ball. I don't want him getting it 30 feet from the hoop. Honestly the closet thing we got to a player we can clear out and let Go to work is Evans.

Basically every game at UConn has played out the same way. The difference is this year UConn doesn't have a Napier, Boatright or Walker to hit that back breaking shot to push the lead to 5 or 6. Really cannot extrapolate the results of a UC-UConn game to the rest of the season. I thought we ran pretty good stuff and got the shots we wanted. Unfortunately there was a lot of questionable stuff going on at the rim both ways which hurt the scoring.
NTS would love to once have a player the caliber of anyone of the three you mentioned. Those guys had ice water in their viens . They lived for those moments. Mick was close on Walker but he chose UCONN. The closest we have come was SK. Would love to once have a guard who is lightning quick and wants the ball. We have nice players but none are that oh shit player. What I mean by that is the opposition doesn't say oh shit when anyone on our team gets the rock. For Mick to get the team where we want to go we need at least one oh shit player.

I hope he does as well. My son was a 5th year senior at TOSU. Twice he battled back from knee surgeries. After finally overcoming those obstacles he lost part of his index finger in a freak accident that ruined his season before it began. Prior to that I got a call from the coaches telling me he had never looked better. The look on his face when I finally got to him was heartbreaking. Many fans never really know what these kids have gone through to get to this level chasing a dream. The practices are grueling, the schedule, classroom and pressure to excel is tremendous. Most of the time they are their hardest critique. D-1 athletics are about performance.

Just heard Shaq is day to day with mild sprain and bruise on ch 12 news. Good news.

Well said WH! Precisely the reason I don't stand for people who want to insult players. I'm pretty sure not being the best D1 player is not a good reason to rip into a player. I'm quite certain most of us were never that good!

Good win last night no doubt, hopefully we'll be watching this team in March because of it. A loss would have really hurt our chances and March is always a lot more fun when the Cats are in the dance.

The problem with last night's game is that we did what we always do against tough competition. We went into our shell in crunch time and we were lucky to squeeze out a win. Playing the style of basketball we played in the final 8 minutes of the game last night got us a nice road win against UConn but it won't win in March. Been there, done that enough times to know it's not a recipe for sustained success.

I fear this team is still badly lacking any kind of true identity.

I never felt like we played turtle ball last night. Don't recall is purposely walking the ball up real slow or passing the ball back and forth 30 feet from the basket. The defense in the second half was absolutely amazing. We just missed a lot of shots. The offense was passing crisper and working inside out.

Absolutely waterhead! Hard as I tried I could not make water boy on a D-1 roster. In my younger years worked to hard, and chased girls to much.lol

Not sure if anyone brought it up but I thought it was cool that Cronin agreed to let Seth Greenberg interview him during the game. Gave good insight. I'm all for that kind of stuff.

They are doing the same thing right now with Cal in the UK-KU game. I guess it is Seth Greenberg's thing.
