DO you like our chances?

Not sure who we can expect to show up on the road. The 54.3 pts/40 minutes last 3 road games still stands. If we get caught in that game, not sure how we can "expect" a win. Everyone knows that good defense and rebounding wins on the road...but I think that assumes you can still be who you want to be (style wise) offensively. It is Caupain's job to set his guys up. He either needs to score in the 20s or dish out 7+ assists. Taking care of business on the road with defense and rebounding doesn't mean crawl the ball up the floor. He needs to make it happen. I'd like to see that last week wasn't a fluke. If we can keep it more basketball game than rock fight, I think our players can make enough plays, and get enough stops down the stretch to get a good win.

I hope your right and we are able to get a win.

Yeah thanks. That's right up my alley.
thought you'd like it. Hopefully we can play both ends of the court. Against good teams you have to get stops. When I think back at the close games we lost a stop here and there would have made a huge difference. Hope the Cats are up to it.

I hope so too.

I think lots of times as fans we take for granted the conditioning aspect of sports. Was listening to Mad dog sports around lunch time today and Tim Hasselbeck was being interviewed. He was discussing Cam Newtons season and it got around to his low completion percentage. Tim mentioned that as much as he shoulders the running game it no doubt affects his passing. He said some offensive coordinators won't call a pass after a QB scramble because the QB is gassed. I know basketball is entirely different but if you haven't played tough defense and a fast paced offense together it absolutely has to require some time to develope such stamina. It would also require it being done under game conditions. Running wind sprints as oppose to playing in a game is apples and oranges. Hopefully the team is ready to make a believer of Mick.

Having Brimah out definitely hurts UCONN defensively but offemsively it allows them to play a extra perimeter player. Having watched the Cats struggle defensively this year on the perimeter it does give me cause to worry. We will need to match up defensively and at times Clark and Ellis will need to man up with guys who handle the rock. That killed us in our first game against Temple.

Take this with a grain of salt but I was watching one game where Brimahs replacement had 5 blocks by the time I turned it off with plenty of game time left.

Not even sure if we've had 5 blocks by one guy this year. I'm sure Brimah is better but...

This could be a season changing game. A win would get a ton of momemtum and bring back a ton of fan support, honestly think it would spark a huge run. A loss tho could could really have a snowball effect. Dont want to call it a must win but its pretty damn close

It's funny...it seems like I say this every year. Then we lose and I think we're done...then we close out the season well. Of course that is better than the alternative which was going on in the beginning of the Cronin years.

What I would like is to not need to close out the season needing a run just to sneak in the dance. Let's make a f-ing statement this year and close this shit out with an exclamation point!

Hoping. ..not expecting

love the rivalry this has become. Very physical and intense. My favorite game in the past two seasons was probably UConn at home last year, when troy came rolling out in that head band and had 16 pts in the second half I believe. Man he took that game personally and was not gonna let his team lose hopefully he plays that way tonight, woudnt mind him rocking that head band either lol. love this vine of his head band

UConn is not a very good basketball team but they have the name brand recognition. A win tonight helps our tourney prospects and should be expected.

We're the better team, a loss is a failure.

I'm way for ready us to go out against "good" teams and put the pedal to the metal. We have nothing to lose by going in there and swarming the hell out of them.
