No offense.

No rebounding.

No effort.

No defense.

No coaching.

This team is not good, matter of fact this team is very bad.

That pretty much sums up all of my thoughts, you nailed it. An extremely embarrassing loss. NO rebounding, p!ss poor free throw shooting, and, our offense continues to look like lost jv players who don't know offense 101. You have to put the blame on the coaches for not developing their players and the players not playing with focus and toughness.

I feel like I will not have anymore expectations this year and just see where we are come January.

I have a feeling Mick is about to piss me off in his postgame... stay tuned.

He is pissing me off lol. I wish he could just admit that clearly he does not know how to run an offense. Has anyone noticed that especially this year, we come out of timeouts and never get a quality shot? Its so embarassing. Its embarassing how these coaches can't develope his players into quality division I players. The only thing Cronin was right by saying, the tougher team won. Def. wasn't the Bearkittens. Maybe Cronin should coach for MArshall since he knows so many stats about them and praises them like they're a Top 5 team. What a joke. If he knew MArshall was so good, why couldn't he coach his players on how to beat them.

TLL you're right about one thing.....Mick's hot seat is indeed imaginary.

It is. UC made a critical mistake with his contract.

This is Micks 6th year... I hope we can finally stop talking about "the situation Mick took over". Its year 6 fellas. Ive seen better offensive flow at the local YMCA.

Plain and simple Mick is not getting the job done right now.

And now I get to hear how good of a team Marshall is. yawn. terrible.

But the lack of attendance, and buzz surrounding this program, isn't.

Mick needs to right the ship, and needs to end this season with somewhere along the lines of a 6 seed or higher, a top half of the league finish, and at least into the second round of the tourney IMO.

When you consider how the roster is shaping up for next season, it makes this year all that more important. If this team falls short this year, and next year looks to be a transition year, well, that's not good.

That imaginary hotseat could become very real if these team's performance early this season is an indication of how they'll finish. I'll wait to reserve judgement, and I don't want to overreact to one game, but if things don't improve, and if he's brought back for a 7th year, then I'll be giving up my tickets. Not a threat, just the way it is. Is asking for a 6 seed or higher, in year 6, that much to ask? I hardly think so.

Hopefully we're just getting the kinks out now, and will be fine come BE play. Hard not to be skeptical though.

I see better offense ran at my pickup games. You would think after them playing together they would figure out how to get open, but yet, during Mick's tenure here, they can not figure it out. Maybe Mick should go to any open gym and watch how 5 random guys can figure out how to score together.

Marshall is a NCAA tournament team but jeez that game was simply a physical beat down. This team possesses the talent but absolutely no heart, no defensive passion, no desire to do the dirty work.

While a lot of people were saying this was going to be his best team yet, I had this feeling that the "intangibles" would be lacking, especially on defense. Another game another second half collapse. And to think I actually thought they'd hold the lead when they got up 7.

I don't understand how coming off the NCAA tournament actually reduced fan support. This program would be lucky to get 8k this season at home. Hell, Marshall fans were the reason the Shoe had some sort of environment tonight. Very, very embarrassing to be a fan of UC athletics right now.

And now I get to hear how good of a team Marshall is. yawn. terrible.

I'm not going to sit here and say Marshall is awesome but they have a good group of players. Pitts and Kane are some tough guards (they got lucky on some desperation shots too), and they have some quality bigs. But there's no way in hell we should have lost.

- I don't understand why we can't put the dagger in teams. Guyn's 3 put us up 9, if we get two consecutive stops and buckets and go up 13 or so, Marshall (and other teams) would fade. They are comfortable with a 7 point lead, and with how abysmal our offense is, that's unacceptable.

- Dixon going 3-7 from the line? Come on man, be a leader and make your freebies.

- Horrible play at end of regulation. Get the ball to Yancy on the block, not on the perimeter or let one of the guards try to penetrate.

- I think Mick needs to "dummy down" our offense and just let them play. Too many times so far I've noticed our guys passing up open looks trying to make the extra pass, and our guys are thinking too much.

- After watching Robert Goff tonight, I'm scratching my head why we didn't pursue him harder. He really liked UC and for some reason we backed off of him. He seems like a nice player. Maybe there's more to the story and I like Cheikh, but Goff would have been a nice get.

It was a tough loss for sure, and i hope the team continues to learn from the experience...did i hear correctly that there has already been 41 upsets this season?...if true, that is unbelievable, but also great for the game...this team definitely is struggling closing out games...there were some positives that i drew from the game...Cash looked like a true point guard tonight...his defense and pressure was solid and his penetration was effective...Guyn, although playing limited minutes, provided a spark off the bench...i wish Jackson's passion and energy was contagious...Killa is a pure scorer, and his shot looked good tonight...i liked the idea of putting the ball in his hands in final seconds...the kid is going to be good...Gates, when he is given the ball, can take over the paint...he has such a beautiful touch 5-10 feet from the rim...free throws hurt tonight, just like previous years...i am getting a kick out of fans already questioning signing Mick to a new contract...five continuous years of progress...this team is very talented (thanks to the recruiting of Mick and his staff) and they will be successful this year...just need to work out some kinks...i am still excited about this team, and expect them to be a threat in the tournament...let's not overreact over this loss, just like UConn is not going to overreact to losing to UCF...

Go Bearcats!

keep drinking the kool aid this team is terrible right now. Cash is quick with his hands but not even close to a good defender. Any guard in America can score over Cash, he is too small to stop anyone attacking the rim. Pitts continually scored over him. To quote the great Jim Mora, Tournament? Tournament? Are you really talking about the Tournament?

Agreed but you have to be feeling at bit uneasy at the prospects of the next four games with three of them true road games.

In the end, I think they will be fine but they need to right the ship now.

I didnt see the game.

But;

If Mick blames this on his players being lazy, or them not playing in the 2nd half, I will flip. Be a man and take some responbilitiy. He cant make baskets or play D for them, but he can put them in situations to succeed and I havent seen much of that, even against the poor teams. Blame the coaching staff, players, managers, waterboys, ball boys, ushers, concessions...all of em

i am claiming this team is very talented and has the potential to be very successful...so far, the team has not performed anywhere close to their abilities and especially as a unit...but when you have a big man, like Gates, the team is going to be competitive...Cash was one of the best point guards in the BEAST last season down the stretch...he brings pressure on defense and is the only one that can run any semblance of offense...maybe i am drinking kool-aid (and i dont know who is making/mixing the kool-aid for sure...i guess making my own) but i cannot count out this team already...

call me crazy i guess, but i am also one of few that thinks Parker adds nothing to this team and with the way Guyn is stepping up, Parker's minutes are going to continue to diminish...of course, i was also a fan that scoffed at the idea of Parker replacing Cash as a point guard last year as some members on this website were adamantly arguing for...

Posters making way to much out of a meaningless November loss. UC remains 0-0 in the Big East.

Please Ralph...it means a lot! If this team is even able to get their act together and play around .500 come BE play, in March we will be on the bubble, on the outside looking in with Bad Losses to Marshall, Pres., and I am sure we will lose a few more before BE play.

Of course, this team could very easily be meaningless come BE play.

Wow just wow!

Got 2 home losses to teams from the Big South and C-USA. Can't wait to see the attendance for the next game. Congrats Mick, your team was hyped up all year and this is what you bring us?

I'm just sick to my stomach.
