You both seem to not understand that rebuilding a program in 6 years is phenomenal. How's SMU doing?

I know this isn't going to change your mind, so I honestly don't know why I'm writing this. And I honestly don't know why you 2 are still fans. If it pains you so much to care about this team, and you think they're headed in the wrong direction with the wrong man at the helm, then it might be best for you to emotionally divest until things change. It's just sports; not worth the distress.

SMU is a completely different situation. For every SMU a Baylor can be pointed out. I still support Mick but TLL has good points. It's 6 years in; about time to quit talking about the rebuild project. That was over 2 years ago. I joked in a thread earlier that Mick should be on the hot seat if he didn't get them to the NCAA tournament. It was a joke because I thought there was no way they wouldn't make the tournament. It's early, but it ain't looking so good right now....A poor year will make last year look like an anomaly, and with a 2011 class that is showing little to-date and no commitments for 2012, I'm not sure how much better the future looks.

Im not happy by any means but lets calm down not like were only good team losing. Is Jim Calhoun on hot seat for losing ucf a team picked behind marshall in pre season im not happy by any means but i think well be ok i hope lol

Bishop was not very good. He was a decent role player. He does give one hell of an excuse for a lot of you people.

Of course Calhoun isn't on the hot seat. He won a freaking national title last year (in addition to his others). Think before you type.

Attendance sucks, no doubt about that. I hope we're not playing the "Whatever the majority believes is the truth" game, though. The majority of Americans supported "separate but equal" schooling for minorities. The majority of Americans supported invading Iraq. I bring these points up not to directly compare Mick's situation to them: I'm only trying to point out how ridiculous majority opinion can appear in hindsight. If attendance numbers are your gauge, you may be putting too much faith in your fellow man.

I have no idea how you perceived my previous statement to be a questioning of your fanhood. I was essentially saying that you get too worked up after losses, and should consider not getting so worked up...I was really saying you might be too much of a fan, if that's how simply you would choose to phrase it. What I am questioning now, however, is your reading comprehension.

Agreed. Great recruiter (one of the best) not a great coach. Most of the time, though, having the best talent is all you need to win games and sometimes the best talent can overcome coaching and even win National Championships
