the no player has ever improved with Mick as UC's coach crowd? TLL was their ring leader as I recollect.

There was a lot of people saying a lot of things. We are not to the point where we can start yelling I told you so at all of those poeple.

Could careless about yelling I told you so. But failure to recognize the difficult task and the improvements to this program based on what he inherited is absolutely ridiculus. MC and staff are gaining new fans everyday. We are a program going forward not looking back. Love what has been accomplished and the direction where headed. MC knows basketball isn't it obvious???

Mick has been bashed mercilessly by many on here even during big east play.

Ucbearcats even advocated his murder on here at the hands of tu holloway

I am in the group that wants Mick at UC as long as possible.:D

Same here. It was one thing for UC to take success for granted in C-USA (or the metro, etc), but it isn't supposed to be this easy to build the program right back up in the Big East. Mick has built this thing the right way and I think the foundation is there to sustain it.

Lots of people think that just happens by UC being a good brand historically, but there are plenty of similar programs that have been trying a LONG time to jump back into the national scene like we have under Mick.

As far as the OP, there is no question that 2 years in a row this team has progressed a mile between November and March. People can spread the credit however they want, but there is no denying that it happened.

When the team wins there really isn't much to complain about. I believe it was you who always claimed I was a Mick hater but the simple fact is I'm not. You don't hear me hating on Mick right now because we are winning. As I always said, I just want to win.

Keep on winning and you won't hear complaints, but I don't really think that's what you want now is it Ralph?

Is that not what is considered " fairweather", not you personally, but the statement itself. Is a fanatic a person who supports a team through good AND bad times. I'm not saying you are a fairweather guy, but the statement does, just sayin....

Fairweather would be someone who only roots for their team or a team if that team is good. I've always rooted for UC and have had season tickets for every season Mick has been the coach. Fairweather to me would be someone who doesn't even care about their team if the team isn't playing well. One thing I've never done is put the blame on our players. A lot of the "so called" supporters on this website have bashed Cashmere and Gates and others whenever given the opportunity to do so. I put the blame on the coach, others have targeted the players. At the end of the day we are all UC fans, otherwise why would you waste your time posting on a message board?

Some people have looked at what Mick has done and have been thrilled about the job he's doing. I just want him to win or I want us to find someone who can win. I wouldn't say I'm ecstatic about the job Mick has done so far but I feel pretty damn good about where we are at right now. Hopefully everything I've said about the guy has been wrong and what we're seeing right now is only the beginning of his future success.

During his 14 NCAA Tourneys as UC's head coach Bob Huggins never beat a higher seeded team.

In his second NCAA tourney as UC's head coach Mick Cronin beat a higher seeded team.

You got to love Mick Cronin as UC's head coach.

I am in the group that would love if Chris Mack would remain at Xavier for the rest of his career.

Me too. Its easy to get caught up in X's easy draw that got them to the sweet 16 and think everything is right again, but the program has been trending down since Mack took over and that looks to continue next year.

Does fairweather also include advocating the murder of the head coach?

I agree, I like having Mack as our rivals coach. I really wanted them to miss the tournament this year because their program would have lost so much momentum. Unfortunately their great draw pretty much erases the season collapse. 2 weeks ago they were depressed about their program. Then they string a couple wins together against the likes of Dayton and lehigh and they're back to the old #zipemup crap. Makes me sick...

Don't miss him is the board Xavier fan that for some reason has stuck around. Just  at everything he says.
