the no player has ever improved with Mick as UC's coach crowd? TLL was their ring leader as I recollect.

That is incorrect information ralphy.
I am in the group that wants Mick at UC as long as possible.

Is that not what is considered " fairweather", not you personally, but the statement itself. Is a fanatic a person who supports a team through good AND bad times. I'm not saying you are a fairweather guy, but the statement does, just sayin....

I am in the group that would love if Chris Mack would remain at Xavier for the rest of his career.
Does fairweather also include advocating the murder of the head coach?Fairweather would be someone who only roots for their team or a team if that team is good. I've always rooted for UC and have had season tickets for every season Mick has been the coach. Fairweather to me would be someone who doesn't even care about their team if the team isn't playing well. One thing I've never done is put the blame on our players. A lot of the "so called" supporters on this website have bashed Cashmere and Gates and others whenever given the opportunity to do so. I put the blame on the coach, others have targeted the players. At the end of the day we are all UC fans, otherwise why would you waste your time posting on a message board?
Some people have looked at what Mick has done and have been thrilled about the job he's doing. I just want him to win or I want us to find someone who can win. I wouldn't say I'm ecstatic about the job Mick has done so far but I feel pretty damn good about where we are at right now. Hopefully everything I've said about the guy has been wrong and what we're seeing right now is only the beginning of his future success.
Ucbearcats even advocated his murder on here at the hands of tu holloway
Same here. It was one thing for UC to take success for granted in C-USA (or the metro, etc), but it isn't supposed to be this easy to build the program right back up in the Big East. Mick has built this thing the right way and I think the foundation is there to sustain it.
Lots of people think that just happens by UC being a good brand historically, but there are plenty of similar programs that have been trying a LONG time to jump back into the national scene like we have under Mick.
As far as the OP, there is no question that 2 years in a row this team has progressed a mile between November and March. People can spread the credit however they want, but there is no denying that it happened.
