Harvey in last 4 games is averaging close to 25pts per 40 minutes. He's not turning it over too much, gets a few rebounds, and plays decent defense. He can shoot and get to the rack. I think it's time to reward him with his first start.

Over the same stretch MAW is averaging about 11pts per 40. I don't see MAW standing out in many other areas and I don't think his D is enough to make up for that scoring differential.

More Mason. More harvey.

We need guys that can make offensive plays. Mason shooting is crucial. Space the floor for small ball.. allowing harvey to dribble drive to the rim.

MAW is a backup 1 or 2 at this point. Saunders shouldn't see any time frankly. Can't shoot. Turnovers. And undersized.

MAW is the epitome of a role player. His usage rate is only 15, and he doesn't create much at all. He's sort of a 3 and D guard at this point. I think he plays a lot because he doesn't turn the ball over. That's valuable as part of the rotation, but he shouldn't be second on the team in minutes. Since his role isn't much different from Mason, I think MAW should be limited to around 25 minutes, with Mason getting 15.

Agreed. MaW likely better defender.. Mason a better shooter.

MaW quitting on a fast break dunk was the worst bearcat plays I've seen in a decade. Unfathomable. Embarrassing. I would have lost my mind coaching.

He did a much better job of creating going downhill from the top of the key before Jaron took over PG duties. He leans heavy on his left hand and doesn't have the skills to do the same thing from the wing or his right side. As far as getting to the rack he is kind of a one trick pony. But he is a good finisher. Capable shooter.

If he plays on the wing he is limited in other words...going right to left. Harvey is much more versatile with his play making. And right now he's shooting lights out from3.

I agree on Mason and Zach but MAW was not going to be able to make a play on that dunk without a technical foul IMO. I would have liked to see him try to get in position to make a play but that play was likely over before it started and I think MAW knew it. He had too much ground to make up in just a couple of seconds. I could be wrong...

The dark side is we lost. The bright side is that Brannen can keep infusing the younger players that fit the system better without too much push back. The vets have had their chance to prove they deserve the minutes. Keith is still valuable but not an alpha. Vogt, Dou, and MAW are not lighting it up. Davenport has been very good...and Harvey is coming on strong. Time to see what Mason can do. We have seen Mikey and he might be a year or two away yet. That is fine because we have DD. Gabe will get his chance after Williams leaves.

Gabe needs to get back on campus and get game reps. Won't lie in limited time Mason looked better.

I can't argue with Mason looking better in limited minutes. But Gabe is behind Williams, Harvey, sometimes Davenport at the 3. There aren't minutes at the 3 available (at all). So he would have to back up the 2 where he has MAW, Harvey, Mason to deal with. Mason can probably back up the 2 or the 1 and his defense is reportedly better. I am guessing they both shoot about the same. Mason has an easier path. But I would like to see Gabe get some minutes in preparation for next year. Just not sure they are there at the moment without some significant news breaking.

0-5 mpg isn't going to help much

Gabe is shooting himself in the foot here. It shouldnt be about playing time at the moment.

He currently isnt allowed in the weight room. He isnt allowed to work with the strength coach and he isnt allowed to be practicing with the team. Those 3 things are just as important as anything else right now. And he isnt getting any of that. He will come in next year still behind the ball on what it takes to see the floor.

Yeah, I wish gabe was still here getting reps. This year is important for next years team. We have seen what a difference a year can make with Harvey. I hope gabe comes back to the program. We need shooting and size. Gabe has both.

I know mason hasn’t played much at all but he hasn’t looked over matched at all or like he doesn’t belong like some had thought. If he can shoot and be ok everywhere else he could be very valuable

In terms of his basketball prep I would agree. But if he's taking care of mental health stuff...then I suppose that could be an even better decision. Since Mason is still on the team and playing I am assuming the mental health thing is real.

I don’t have an issue with maw like some on here. He’s still a sophomore. He could grow into a really good role player. If he can consistently shoot 35% from 3 he could be a good piece. He plays good defense.

Reminds me of Kevin Johnson. Never great but can find a role

Agreed... I wouldn't mind him backing up DD at the 1 And him playing the 2...

But realistically Harvey has more offensive talent and likely should be taking those 2 minutes.

Unfortunately I think were about to strike out on a top target guard for 2022.

CJ Gunn is likely headed to Indiana.

I’d trade wins this seasons for 2021 and 22 top recruit wins.

But man, we need some good recruiting news. This support staff may need a shake up if we can’t get any momentum

Agreed. The young guys developing allow us to fill some holes with the '21 class. However, I have said for quite sometime that the '22 class is absolutely crucial. Time will tell.

Still time. There are going to be plenty of transfers and coaching changes, Indiana probably being one of them.
