Will Larry Davis Return?

Also it will be good to maybe get somebody with a different perspective. LD and Mick see things so similarly. That was great for this year, but it could help to have somebody that might see things from a different angle.
Davis let's players play out of funks Mick doesn't. Moore would've never got in against Kentucky with Mick.

Moore shouldn't have gotten in against Kentucky. It cost UC the game.

Eh, I wouldn't go as far as to say it cost them the game. Wasn't smart move, but there were plenty other things that led to the loss. I just hope he recovers from the posterizing

Just think if he had made that shot we would have been up six and able to set our defense and probably had the lead at halftime. Instead it killed us.
He don't make that shot at practice. I begged for him to get in game but NEVER would've allowed him freedom to take shot. Then the foul was bigger than missed shot

I could see Larry taking the NKU job, rumored to be a top candidate. That would be a good look for him. He could stay in the area and the Norse probably have the nicest arena in the A-Sun meaning recruiting shouldn't be an issue.

I want him to end his coaching career running his own program. He deserves that.

Remember Ellis got hurt on the posterization play, that was when UK started to take over. I am just wondering if Quad will be back on the team next year.

I have zero knowledge about Quadri's situation but to me, I'm not sure why he wouldn't be on the team. His suspension seems to be rectified. Speculating that he won't be on the team maybe isn't fair to him. But as far as basketball talent goes, he didn't really show me anything positive all year. That can't continue. His energy was concerning to me all year. No smiling ever, just claps. Literally all he did was clap. Show some energy. Be proud to be a Bearcat.

As far as Larry Davis goes, it seems like some decent jobs are starting to open up. It will be interesting to see which ones give him a call, and a decent shot at landing the job.

The games in the AAC and NCAA tourney Quadri looked disconnected from team. During locker-room post game celebration he was nowhere to be found, on sidelines he is always removed from the team and not in the huddle. Simple body language looked like he was not happy with situation but who knows what is going on behind closed doors. LD supposedly said they wanted to add at least two players as well.

What did Bateman do, all these posts are pretty measured. Sheesh, some of the better people here are dropping like flies

I don't think he leaves simply to take a head coaching job, but I do believe he will look at what's available. I wish him luck in fulfilling his dreams of being a head coach again.

Something tells me he won't budge this year. We're on the cusp of something extremely special, and if we go far on it, I would expect him to pack up at that point, riding the wave of this year. Smart move IMO if that is what is going on.

Candidate for NKU

Hey Guys, I mostly lurk so this is first post here. Excited to join and talk about UC hoops.

I believe Larry Davis is a candidate for NKU, along with Travis Steel from X.

Only two reasons I see for Davis taking the NKU job are the facilities and the fact he wouldn't have to move. Those two reasons alone are pretty compelling, but I have a feeling he will hold out for a better offer. Dayton if/when Archie Miller leaves could possibly be a good fit?

Although out of loyalty to Mick and the program, I wouldn't be shocked if he declined to take a job in the region. Certainly wouldn't blame him if he did though.
