West Virginia has had similar lines this year @ home (vs. Baylor and Kansas) where it looked tempting to the road team....but they won my double digits. I think Vegas feels even more confident in UC -6 and I wouldn't be shocked to see that Cats win by double figures.

Either UC by double digits or X outright is what I think.
 
I hope we embrace the energy and come out firing. It's going to be on Caupain to dictate that. What we see from him early may tell the story of the game.

We have started a couple recent games with the corner three by Troy (I think) and he made them. I would not be surprised to see that called again.

Would love for them to run that play, but instead of Troy shooting the three, he draws a defender out and dishes in to a big for a big dunk. Would bring a lot of energy, and give our bigs confidence that they can ball on these weak Xavier big men.
 
Today I was digging through our attic and stumbled across a signed basketball given to my wife as a kid with her name on it. Pretty awesome because it was signed by the entire 96-97 bearcats. From Kenyon to flint to Huggins to Brannon to fortson and the rest.

Pretty awesome to find this on crosstown shootout day. We thought we lost it and my wife had no idea what year it was from
 
On the radio show Coach Cronin was throwing out scenarios he had to be prepared for and he mentioned X going small with Gates at C. Then he said, do we counter by going small or going zone? That makes me extremely nervous. Why would we go zone if they have 5 shooters on the floor? That makes no sense. Either pound Washington so they can't do it, or go with Scott. No reason to over think it. I hope to God we don't play 1 second of zone defense. If we know anything about Xavier, it's that they're too good offensively to let a zone kill them. They'll just move the ball and find open shooters over and over again. And if there's anything else we know, it's that their shooting % coming into the game doesn't mean a thing. Especially if they're the kind of 3s that they step into like Dee Davis 2 years ago.

Can't shake the feeling I have...We're going to shoot the freaking lights out and turn this series around for a long time. I can't stand how exciting this game is going to be. Go Cats! Xuck Favier!
 
I'm geared up. I hate X. Hate losing to them. Have to want this game tonight cause we all know the intensity Xavier will bring. Refs will play a huge role. If X gets to the line a bunch it could be a long night. Regardless, my voice will gone, I'll have to do everything in my power not to fall from the upper deck. Seriously. Let's go Bearcats!!!

That's exactly how I'm feeling too. I have this unusual feeling that things are gonna go really well for us. I mean I'm usually optimistic, but I'm feeling more as if this is a game we can only "lose" ourselves. Very confident Troy and KJ are going to have a great game, I am just feeling that we win pretty easily. Which is something I didn't think early in the year but now that we are here I just think this one is all ours.

Skipped dinner with the family at Red Squirrel to pregame and meditate before tip off. I had a dream Kyle Washington had 20 points before halftime and we ended up winning 77-63. We got this!
