they get higher rated classes and players but thats why putting so much into what scout.com thinks is fools gold

We are losing 2 key players. But we are adding Broome, Williams and Moore. Also JJ will be another year older, Cumberland is going to be a stud. Brooks will have a full offseason this year to work on his strength and Scott will be another year older. And then to top it off we have another year of Washington/Clark. We will have solid depth next year

Jarron Cumberland served notice against Xavier. Broad shouldered freshman came off the bench to score 15 for Cincinnati. High ceiling.

I was manically cleaning with the nervous energy I had while watching the game. I'm always excited for a Cats win. After this one it was equal parts relief and excitement. I'm thrilled for TC to get a win in his Sr. year. Plus, my house is spotless.

Lol.

I love hearing these rituals. I stodd 5 feet from the TV the whole second half and leaned, swayed, paced, you name it. The 1st half I was just stuck on the couch whining about Bluiett being out of his freaking mind. "OF COURSE!" is said way too often during Xavier games. It never fails that one of their guys will go nuts. I called the end of half sequence perfectly. Caupain goes 1 for 2 and Bluiett hits a 3. Sure enough. That's when I left my seat for good.

Could it also be that Mick is very good recruiting, especially to a conference that is not a P5. Recognizing under valued players and turning them into a group that wins 20 games and makes the dance is not a easy task. I understand we all want more but until we land in a P5 conference it will always be tough. Tough not impossible but again tough. I for one would love to see him be able to make moves with the same advantages other P5 schools operate with.

Jake you think that is bad wait until you get kids of your own performing. My youngest boy was a State champion and a National Champion. Parents used to always make fun of me because I could watch as the time ticked down. I would be up at the concession stand when his arm was being raised. I couldn't bear to watch.

For those saying Coach should've had the guys shooting FT after the game...Get real! I wouldn't be shocked if Washington did it on his own though.

Splitting hairs but by definition Big East is not a P5 and they have reigning NC

Yeah for all the complaining about FTs, looking back it was just two guys missing them. Washington and Cumberland were the only bad FT shooters for us. Was a bad game, but I have faith in those two guys to do better down the stretch.

Agreed. It will be fine.

Rewatched the game. Did any of you guys notice the fantastic substitution patterns in the 2nd half? Incredible.

Brooks for Defense, K Wash for Offense, and the Cumberland/Johnson switch.

Huge factor in the outcome of the game. Id like to see this more often

Can't tell you how happy I am to see Nysier Brooks playing the way he is. With Jenifer, Cumberland, Scott, and Brooks all providing valuable minutes this year, the team has a shot to go far in March.

Wait! Two positive posts including a passed eye test AND complimentary remarks about our coach?!?

Who are you and how did you hack into this account?

Lol. Glad to have you (belatedly) join the rest of the pack. At least for now...

Don't know if anybody mentioned this and I didn't notice it myself until I looked at the boxscore that Tobler played the last minute. Good move by Mick for his free throw shooting. I'm really happy for him he got in a Crosstown shootout!

He got subbed in with .2 seconds left, it cracked me up.

It said a minute in the boxscore. You are entitled to your opinion and so am I, here it is.

I don't think it's funny that a kid comes in the last .2 seconds of the biggest game of the year to date. I'm sure all his teammates were happy for him that he got in the game. Did you see Rudy? If you did , you must not have learned anything from the movie. A team is made up of all its parts. I'm sure Tobler works just as hard or harder than most of kids on our team. I for one am estatic for him!
