So I was at Kroger the other day and I picked up the Yahoo.com (Rivals) College football Preview. Obviously I thumbed through and looked to see where they had UC finishing this year. To my horror, I saw they had them finishing 4th in the BE. The projected the Bearcats to play in the Papa John's.com game (ND stole the Champ's Sports Bowl slot). UC's opponent for the game was UK.
Several thoughts raced through my head. 1st, I did not like the sound of UC finishing fourth but I guess I can see the logic (Pitt, WVU and UCONN will be tough this year). 2nd, I did not like seeing UC back at the PJB. However, when I saw the projection of a UC v. UK matchup, I thought to myself that was not too bad.
Now I know we have played in two straight BCS bowls and this is not my ideal scenario, but I think playing UK in a bowl game would not be a terrible idea. First, I think UC would travel pretty well for that game. Second, I would just love the idea of UC taking the Wildcats to the woodshed. It certainly would be helpful for recruiting to be able to beat an SEC team in a bowl game.
What do you think? Again for the record, I am of the belief UC does much better than this, as I said, if this is where we end up, I will be there to root on the Bearcats.
