You have a much different opinion of great than I do. Go back and watch the film objectively and you will see that JJ didn't contest several threes. When he finally did contest a three, the guy was already in rhythm as a result of the open ones. That is why Mick pulled him in the first half.

Jenifer would be serviceable if he could just guard the three point line. Seems like every time he comes in, the other team hits 2 or 3 in a row and it's usually his man making the shots.

Awful. One of my favorite Bearcats ever. Hoping for the best for him.

Man, what an impressive young man. There are a lot of really good kids on this roster. It makes them very easy to root for while in a Bearcat jersey and after they graduate and move on. Thanks for sharing.

Nope. I'm happy with the program and direction it's going. Thanks for your wonderful invite.

I'll explain this simply so you can understand and then I am done. As I mentioned in another post, people who loved Huggs seem to criticize Mick for the exact same things they loved about Huggins. That is why I asked and that is why I responded to you. If you can't understand that, then I can't...

I will say that if Gary Clark has the ball 3 feet from the basket, isn't double teamed, and passes the ball out to the three point line, I'll pull my hair out...and I don't have much left. LOL

    2016-2017 Season

Absolutely. I don't want that which is why I made sure to preface my comment with the fact that I loved when Huggs was our coach. I was just pointing out that many of the things Mick gets criticized for are the same things that Huggs did when he was here, especially in the last few seasons...

The reason I asked was because a bunch of your points were complaints many had about Huggs when he was here, especially in the last 5+ years. 1. Huggs' recruiting towards the end (call it last 3 years or so) wasn't great and was a far cry from when we were landing Derrmar Johnson, etc. I think...

    Troy Caupain

Nice! I hope we see aggressive Troy this year. If we do, he will have a great year.

I would agree but that falls on the players more than the coach. Kenyon had that attitude. SK had that attitude. Troy and Gary need to have that attitude.

You have to spread the floor and make shots to open the lane for driving. That's what the zones force in college. If you can shoot a team out of the zone, you will open up driving and cutting lanes.

Honest question, were you a Huggins fan? I was a big Huggins fan. Just curious.

    2016-2017 Season

I agree with this! It's not just Mick. For whatever reason, it's most college coaches that fail to go 2 for 1. Would love to see Mick coach the kids that way.
  15. JasonS

    2016-2017 Season

We disagree here. College hoops is moving outside the arc and the best teams are able to spread the floor, shoot the three and create driving lanes. The days of bigs camping on the block is over. They will flash there and post but they won't run down the floor, straight to the block, turnaround...

What do you want Mick to do? Just curious because I hear this stuff all the time but I never hear specifics. I can name 10 things Tuberville could/should do and it has zero to do with play calling/offense. It's pretty much all personnel decisions or stupid things he has said off the field, or...

I can confirm this to be accurate. Lol

Playing in the Big East was the opening to the pipeline in NYC. Now, it's harder, but SK and Lance in the NBA helps keep it alive. That's my perspective on it, anyway. Chad may feel differently.

    2016-2017 Season

Honest question, not trying to start stuff here, but, in your opinion Chad, does Mick have to build a staff that way if he wants an opportunity to win big? Or, is there an opportunity to bring former players on staff like Kenyon, Van Exel, or Logan to add some NBA credibility with the kids?

    2016-2017 Season

I agree. My hope is to see a 3 or 4 seed this year but at worst, a 6 seed. I feel like they need to avoid the 1 and 2 seeds in round 2 if they really want to make a run.
