Help Support BearcatTalk:

(merged thread to other '10 recruits)

Multiple outlets saying that he may visit UC and commit. Came out of HS last year, but was unable to get into USF at the time...grades apparently.
I may start a thread of his in the '10 class, we'll see what happens with him.
Supposedly a real solid RB.

Is expected to begin school Feb. 15, and be available for spring practice.

For the second time in a week, it looks like a Big East rival could be picking up a former USF signee -- running back Adaris Bellamy, told there were no scholarships available for him with the Bulls, will take an official visit to Big East champ Cincinnati this weekend, Dunedin coach Mark Everett said.

"I think it's a good opportunity for him," said Everett, who said he expects Bellamy to sign with the Bearcats after his visit. Because Cincinnati is on a quarters system, Bellamy can start classes there when the next quarter begins on Feb. 15, allowing him to practice with the Bearcats this spring.

Bellamy signed with USF last year but did not qualify academically, and the Bulls placed him at Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia. Bellamy raised his grade-point average and test scores enough in one semester there that he's been cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse, Everett said.

Bellamy was a four-star recruit when he signed with USF in 2009, but the Bulls have at least seven scholarship running backs returning this fall, with three other backs committed to sign Wednesday.

I am not sure he will be a bearcat. I have a feeling this is not a sure thing.

I KNOW he will not sign today. I think there is a lot of issues concerning him. Also, I am not sure if we have a scholly to give him.

Anyone heard anything in the last 20 min?

The rumor he signed w/ USF may have been premature.

I am currently on the chat with Butch. I have asked 4 questions under the name "BearcatTalk.com". I will have more tonight.

Good call. I'm on about 15 websites, and I think I have severe information overload. Thanx to greatone and goosebumps for keeping me in check. I think I need a break. LOL

Former Dunedin running back Adaris Bellamy, who signed with USF in 2009 but was told last month there was no longer a scholarship available to him with the Bulls, will sign today with Division I-AA Youngstown State, his high school coach said Wednesday.

"He could play at a higher level, but I think he'll be a star there," Mark Everett said. "He's excited. He just told me his goal is to win the Walter Payton Award (given to the top player in I-AA football)."
