Just commited to Pitt :(

Bummer..oh well guys we really didn't need him. Jennifer hopefully really improved and Cane is the real deal. We are fine. 2018 we need the pg hopefully we will focus on a big or SF, but that can also wait for 2018.

2017:
Broome/Jennifer
Cumberland/T.Moore
Evans/Williams

Obvisouly the 2 and 3 spots can sub for each other...The plan is too keep developing Tre Scott's shooting so he can play some wing too. We are good.

We were playing with house money going after him. Wouldve been awesome to get him. But no big deal.

Quote that stood out to me: "From a exposure and fit standpoint the ACC is as good as it gets in college basketball," Messiah said.

Conference matters, Big 12 would've help.

While I don't disagree, let's be honest here. The main reason he didn't choose UC because of how many guards we will have. I would have respected him like crazy if he would have picked UC. Mainly because his playing time would have to be truly earned and it wouldn't have happened right away.

Like Jacob said, house money right there. Kinda more interested to see what will come with the remaining scholly.

Well said.

Good recruit for Pitt. Would have been nice to get him, but the house money comparison was perfect. We didn't need him. On to bigger and better talent. I'd really like to lock up a top 100 big man to soften the blow of losing Clark and Washington

While that would be nice to get a top 100 big man. I think it's unrealistic. Still think we will go after a transfer this season, instead of getting a recruit.

That works too. I'd love a solid transfer like Ellis or Washington. I think it would be an easy sell. Sit out 1 year while practicing with potentially the best front court in the AAC and have a starting position their first year of eligibility.

I don't know why it's unrealistic to think we can't land a top 100 big. Clark was ranked 87th on Rivals. I'm not expecting a top 10 recruit to walk through the door, but I don't see why we couldn't land a talented post player with our tourney track record and a state of the art arena coming soon...

We had much more playing time to offer Clark. We were also in on him early, and committed in September. I havent heard us being involved with any other recruits.
