I do not believe that UC is out of contention. I believe they are the darkhorse, but still a player.

I have no inside info or anything, but for some reason I really think Teague is going to be a Bearcat. I don't know why. It's just a feeling I've had all day today. I may feel differently tomorrow but right now, I think Teague is a Bearcat. Maybe it is just optimism? I don't know.

I have it from a decent source that even if we don't get Teague we will have Burton and if we do get Teague we'll have both.

So we have confirmation that Mick is in fact visiting him? And I disagree personally, I would rather Marquis go to UofL, even with seeing him at least once a year, then go to UK...

This afternoon has been full of Marquis Teague rumors from all sides. To summarize, Mike Hughes of Insidetheville.com posted a post that stated the UC staff was told that Teague would be going to Louisville. That led to internet fury everywhere and a couple of posters on TCP who are usually reliable, then took that information (or possibly got it on their own accord) and had UK fans believing the deal was done. I talked to a couple of people this afternoon who are as good a sources as can be had on Teague and they told me two points:
1. Marquis Teague has told no one, including coaching staffs where he is going. This has been intentional and is why both Louisville and Kentucky’s staffs arent sure what his decision will be. If they arent, Cincinnati is not. The UC staff believes he will go to Louisville [/B]but have not been TOLD that by Teague.
2. No matter who leads, both schools are still in it.: Pitino was scheduled to see Teague today and Calipari is likely to see him tomorrow. As one source told me today, “Marquis has chosen both schools three or four times. It wont be over till its over.”
Evan Daniels of Scout.com says it is still too close to call. My belief is that is correct. When the news breaks, it wont be from the UC staff.

I don't believe this is accurate. If Mick believed that UC was out he would not be in Indiana today. There are countless rumors going around. Seems like each schools sites are slanted toward their respective university. I think we have posted by far the fairest overview I have seen.

So true Jeff. It has been reported by several sources that Mick did visit Teague today, which he presumably would not have done if UC was out of the running.
While everybody else talks about UK and UofL, I hope Marquis pulls a shocker and commits to the same school that a fellow Hoosier came to 50 years ago...and promptly became (arguably) the best basketball player ever.

One thing is for sure. The Teague's aren't talking. I sincerely believe UC is in this. He may not commit here, but I think our Cats are on his mind. Have to head to the airport, but will continue to monitor things.
