Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater safety Karl Joseph is rolling through the Army Combine check-in. He measured in at 5-9, 177 pounds. As a junior he tallied 141 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, nine sacks, two interceptions and five forced fumbles. He played primarily at linebacker this year.
FLorida, Cincinnati, East Carolina and UCF have already offered. He does not have a favorite, but Florida, Ohio State, Miami and LSU stand out. He plans to visit Ohio State in the spring and he will see LSU in the summer along with a few other schools. It is going to come down to where he can play early and the relationships with coaches.
Miami was his favorite school growing up. His feelings for them have not changed with Al Golden taking over. Where he can play early is still going to be the most important factor in his decision.
He has a lot of friends at Ohio State and former Edgewater lineman Michael Brewster is at Ohio State. He catches up with Brewster when he returns to Edgewater in the off-season.
