Strengths:
Aquille is one of the quickest and explosive players in the country, regardless of class, and plays the game with tremendous confidence and style. He is a blur in the open floor with a gear beyond must others but also starts and stops on a dime and has the bounce to rise up and finish above the rim. He keeps the ball on a string with his handle, has instinctive court vision and playmaking ability, and can punish sagging defenders by pulling up off the dribble. He has lightning quick hands and feet that allow him to get under opposing ball-handlers defensively to force turnovers.
Weaknesses:
Ultimately Carr's lack of size is bound to catch up with him and make him more vulnerable to bigger guards on both ends of the floor, especially in a half-court game. Right now his biggest challenge is to put substance over style. The constant showman, Carr tries to do too much with the ball instead of making the easy play. He can monopolize the ball at times, doesn't know how to play without it, and needs to improve the catch and shoot element of his game. Decision making, shot selection, and assist to turnover ratio are all very real concerns.
Bottom Line:
There is no denying that Carr is a unique and elite talent in the 2013 class who defies the odds at his size, but to maximize his potential he must learn to be more efficient with the ball and embrace the nuances of running a team in order to make those around him bette
