No doubt they will push hard for Lawrence. I know we have all of our scholarships filled for this class but if they can convince Lawrence to be a bearcat make no mistake about it they will find a way to make it work. I think the plan all along was to get 2 bigs in this class but I think once they saw deshaun morman they couldnt pass up his talent and toughness. And when you run a 4 guard offense you can never have too many talented guards. I think they pursue both Lawrence and Henry and will make it work with whoever says yes first.
Jack are you indicating that you feel one will accept our offer. If so I hope its Lawrence.

We are definitely in a good spot for Lawrence with Syracuse signing Tyler Roberson, UNLV being across the country and just losing on his visit while watching us win, and St Johns seeming to have another mediocre year without an invite to the big dance. We offer immediate playing time for a top 25 program and may also be in a super conference (ACC?) before he makes his decision. With Henry his top 5 didnt include us but with teammate Deshaun Morman now in the mix things can change quickly. I think the best advantage we have with these two are that they are going to sign in the spring. This is without a doubt the most talented team Cronin has had and if they play the way they are capable I think they could crack the top 10 at some point this year. Elite kids want to play for elite programs. We should be able to put on a pretty good show this year. Lets hope it pays huge dividends in the recruiting game.....

Thanks Jack. I agree this weekend certainly didn't hurt our chances. If we land him it will be a huge get. The 2013 class would rand right up there with the best in the country. All our needs will have been met. Two bigs and 3 wings to push the returnees. If SK stays another year we would be scary good. Strickland could be a sleeper. If we get Lawrence I'm thnking Fab 5. Well maybe not that good in year 1 but certainly a group that will post quite a few W's.

It was a "top 5 as of now" statement about a month ago.

WillGunter247 William Gunter
2013 PF Demetrius Henry w/current top 5 of Miami, Rutgers, Clemson, SCarolina & USF. No leader, took officials to Clemson & Rutgers

Fab 5 would definitely be too strong of a comparison as many of them are developmental guys which is what cronin has prided his recruiting style on. Jamaree had 41 and 13 the other night so he might be a huge sleeper. I doubt Kelvin ever put up those numbers in high school. But I agree that one blue chip prospect could really go a long way to making next year hopefully as special as the one we are about to see....

Thanks, I don't think I ever saw that.

As for the Fab 5 comment, c'mon. I'm liking the way the class is shaping up, but Fab 5? No where close to that in terms of talent. Not even close.

I did indicate I was stretching it a bit. LOl Just would be extremely excited to get Lawrence. He would fill a big need for the team if we get him signed. The other thing is it would represent a nice step forward in the recruiting phase of our program. I know we landed lance but I don't think we were his first choice. Other circumstances led him to us. Lawrence would be the first kid that I could think of that has the potential to be a one and doner.Being able to put kids in the NBA and fill holes with that type of talent is the next step. Making this a ideal destination for that kind of talent is very important. Making Cincinnati a houosehold name to talented recruits nationally is the goal.

Kelvin only averaged 10 a game in HS, he is a major project. I really like Jamaree and Troy in this class. Two sleeper guys who would've risen had they stayed uncommitted much longer.

You never know until they get here but I am more excited about this class than I have been in a while. The addition of Rubbles and a 7 footer. The 2 guard from DC should also contribute early. I hope SK stays. He gets better every year. Can't wait to watch them beat Alabama.

This is a much underrated class. I think Caupain and Mormon will come in ready to play. Strickland could be a steal. With what will be returning and the newcomers UC keeps it's foundation solid. I think if SK leaves we will see a drop off win wise but the team will continue to be good and be very good in 2 years.

So, UC loses their starting PG (Wright), SF (Parker), C (Mbodj)........so that means Guyn takes over at PG, Rubles at SF? S K remains at SG if he stays, or JDIII if S K leaves?

The hardest player to replace on this team is Cash. Period. This team will have success next year if Guyn is able to get this team into the offense. His defense is good already and his shot looks good. He will have to develop some of the intangibles that Cash has. Those come with playing time though.

I hope everyone on this board passes this message along to get everyone to come to the game! Also, if there are any current students def. tell as many people to get there and act crazy!! This will be huge!
