Lawrence would play the 4 in UC's offense, I assume.

Currently Jackson and Rubles are manning the 4 spot. Both will be seniors next year when Lawrence will be a frosh for someone. Lawrence could almost assume he's the starting 4 in UC's offense his sophomore year.

I doubt Lawrence will be around for anybody his sophomore year.

Cincinnati has made his final four. I love that. Hate being so out of touch this season. Man I love this stuff.

LOL on me. I don't really follow rankings, but I just looked at that CBS article. I didn't realize Lawrence was ranked 15th. Impressive.

I still think UC would be a good fit for him, bias or not. Seems like St. Johns has a logjam of good players. UC will possibly lose 4 of their starters if S K leaves too. Positions will be up for grabs. And UC's new up pace style fits him well too.

Awesome, made the cut. Not that I expect it, but it would be awesome to snatch him in the spring when we have a huge year on the court. Now the question will be, if by some miracle we get him, would you keep Gaines or drop his scholarship and sign Morman, or get both if SK leaves.

Which is looking pretty promising, unfortunately. SK is currently projected as an early 2nd round pick if he were to leave after this season. His stock should only improve too since it looks like his driving is improving. I honestly didn't think he'd be on the mock draft. I currently see him as a college stud, but I'm not sure he's athletic and quick enough to do well in the NBA. Granted, he's only halfway done with his college career though, so sky is the limit. He seems to have drive that's unmatchable.

does anyone know if he is planning on an official visit and when it is?

Alex Kline @TheRecruitScoop: 2013 Pope John XXIII (NJ) SF Jermaine Lawrence will take his first official visit to UNLV from 11/23-11/25, per a source.

The possible UC-UNLV matchup is November 24. Don't think he's announced a UC visit yet.

I don't trust UNLV at all. I'm not one to buy into schools buying all their players but when certain schools all of a sudden start reeling in top players it starts to smell fishy.

Probably should be more concerned with St. John's for JL. I think he grew up pretty much right down the street and most NY kids grow up wanting to play in the Big East.

Could be he picks who ever wins the game.

UC's new offensive style, and the fact that the players in his position, JJ and Rubles will be seniors next season, would allow Lawrence to nearly walk right in with immediate playing time.

St. Johns is stacked with talent, along with Lavin asking guys to redshirt, etc. because he has too many good players, would mean questionable playing time for Lawrence, no matter how good he is.

But kids don't really think about the stuff I mentioned. They go with their heart, and not their mind typically.

Jack with the signing of the 4th recruit in this class. Do you think we're still in the running for Jermaine? This would really be the icing on the cake. Big time player with the ball skills we need. Watching Rubles and Jackson handle the ball in my mind makes him a key.

No doubt they will push hard for Lawrence. I know we have all of our scholarships filled for this class but if they can convince Lawrence to be a bearcat make no mistake about it they will find a way to make it work. I think the plan all along was to get 2 bigs in this class but I think once they saw deshaun morman they couldnt pass up his talent and toughness. And when you run a 4 guard offense you can never have too many talented guards. I think they pursue both Lawrence and Henry and will make it work with whoever says yes first.
