KJ led his team with 29 points and 15 rebounds and going 5-5 from ft's in their most recent tournament win. Sounds like a solid player in the making. Sorry I can't post the link at the moment.

Roger Bacon is gonna take Kevin down in the next round. One good player is gonna lose to a great team. Just got home from watching us destroy Madeira, should be a close one next Wednesday......

13 in the first half and 16 in the second. Gotta love the consistency. He can score when he wants too.

Ah yes......Madeira my alma mater.

You guys are very good for your league, I feel bad for the public schools having to play all of the private schools. Summit is the worst, though, they pay for players in almost every sport. And their coach is a cocky SOB-he bought everyone on his team a belt(like in wrestling) to remind them that they are the champs and to remind them that, "If you want to be the man, you've got to beat the man." I have nothing against KJ, but I can't stand the school. Some people probably feel the same way about Bacon, and just like me, they are entitled to their opinion.

Walnut Hills grad and we just reached the sweet sixteen in D1. Gonna try and make it down this week to their game(s). Will have to go to Xavier, gulp, to do it.

Good luck, at least you don't have to play Moe, they are better than Springboro. Moeller is a different animal, they just had a bad game.

McNick grad myself; I'm just always interested in people's backgrounds.

Don't know if you saw, but McNick snapped our 28 game winning streak vs. GCL Central opponents earlier this year. The refs were awful, but McNick deserved to win and they have some good young guys. It provided the wake up call our team needed and ever since that week we played you guys and Moe, we have played really well.

I'm so old that when I played for Madeira, I think it was called the Eastern Hill League and included Sycamore, Loveland, Milford, Deer Park, Madeira, Glen Este, and Mariemont.

And alot of my good friends went up Montgomery Road to Moeller to play football. Good times.

Hmm very interesting. I don't really keep up on high school sports except in passing. Always nice to hear some good news though.

Get to see Kevin tonight. I will root for him, just not his team. Should be a good one, I will come back with some new insight, hope he plays better than the last time I saw him.

Nice! please do..... I love hearing how our recruits are, and if you actually see him play, that would be great!

Again, Kevin had an off night. Very skilled player, very quick, but nothing fell for him. Roger Bacon took a much better approach this year-Summit doesn't have the depth we have, so they rotated around who guarded him. Fresh legs on defense can really wear you out. Last year, they couldn't make a shot and had pretty much the same personnel on KJ the whole game. It was a very weird game, the refs were bad both ways. I'm pretty sure I counted 10 travel calls between both teams. Lets be honest, there is tons of traveling in basketball, but no one really calls every carry or every travel. This crew's mission was to call every single travel possible. Also, when we switched who guarded KJ, we spread out our fouls. Summit didn't have that luxury and Johnson fouled out. Again, it will be interesting to see where Mick plays him. He doesn't really fit as a 1 or a 2. I see him being a very productive UC player, but it might take him a year or two to discover where he fits best. Carlas Jackson can play, I could see him following his dad's footsteps and play for the Cats. Great team win for us and it's off to the Regional Finals Saturday.
