These are the type of players that continue to lay the foundation. Not much risk with Caupin.
Another great prediction was the one I made about something happening while I was out of town. Love this get!!!
Getting a chance to play in the Big East was a big factor in his Caupain’s decision to attend UC. He remembers going to the Big East tournament at Madison Square Garden as a kid with his dad and telling his dad he wanted to be down on the floor playing.
“That’s always been my dream,” Caupain said. “I’m just trying to chase my dream.”
Caupain said he chose UC because of his relationships with associate head coach Larry Davis, who recruited him, and with UC head coach Mick Cronin.
“Also they have a great education,” he said. “When I get out of college, if I don’t end up playing basketball to make money, I can get a good degree.”
Seems like a good get, welcome to the Bearcats!!
I assume this is just a verbal, when is the next signing period?
Be surprised if he isn't in the post summer rankings. This is a nice pick up guys.
Also it's great to get Caupain in the fold so Mick and Larry Davis don't have to spend so much time watching him in July. They can focus on Lawrence, Woodson, and any other bigs that pop up. Not saying they will stop recruiting Caupain altogether but huge that Mick can focus on other players since we will have four other scholarships to fill most likely.
Also does anyone think this will affect our pursuit of Corban Collins?
I want two guards, a wing, and two bigs. Balance is key....
I hope think not because I look for them to sign 2-3 guards. However, in recruiting there is always a ripple effect. Getting ready to post on Rector and he had no mention of UC. Not sure if it means anything, if UC has backed off, or if he is less interested now. They can only sign so mny guards with Davis and Guyn returning. I'm wondering what Johnson may be thinking. If Collins signs where is Johnson mentally. If Johnson pops where does that leave Collins, Morris, etc..
