Does this mean that Mick is a good recruiter now? (turn on your sarcasm detector for that comment)

I think this class is a pretty good one for Mick. If he lands Lawrence then it is a great class for Mick.

The problem is the last god class graduates this year. Too long in between.

I agree.

I'd be tempted to start some of the frosh right away and just build for a year or two.

JJ gives you no offense.
Rubles does everything pretty well but score.
Thomas apparently doesn't play D.
Sanders is too passive.
Guyn looks like nothing special.
JDIII is the one we all think has something special but he's hurt.
Nyarsuk is a good role player.

Might want to simply stick Strickland down low and rotate him with Nyarsuk to gain experience.

Then start Caupain from day 1 at PG or work him in.

You'd have your future PG and future Center already getting game reps. Would pay dividends down the road.

Looks like being being a McD AA finalist means you're a top 500 player. Weird that Johnson and Morman (our two higher ranked players) weren't finalists. Not concerned; I'm very excited for all 3.

On Micks radio show tonight he said Troy is averaging 30pts, 17 boards, and 9 assists per game. Crazy numbers.

17 boards, that's impressive! Maybe he can fill JaQuon's role of rebounding guard, at least defensive rebounding if he is going to be the pg.

Gonna be real interesting to see how the PG position pans out next season.

Will Mick just give it to Guyn or will he give Caupain a chance to win it?

Mick hasn't proven to be too open to starting freshman except for early on at UC when he had little to work with.

But next year he will have little to work with at PG. not to mention more talented freshman then he has had in a long while.

Yeah I'm hoping mick will give the freshman a legitimate chance. If a freshman and a junior are even, I say play the freshman all day.

Mick will play the player who is best able to give them a chance to win. He had no issues starting Lance. The fact is that the freshmen we have had lately haven't been ready to contribute or haven't been a better option than the older guys. For example, if Lawrence comes here, I expect that he will be starting or at least playing major minutes as a freshman.

If Lawrence miraculously chooses UC, I wouldn't mind going young, and even struggling a bit in preparation for the following season.

PG - Caupain
SG - JDIII
SG - S K
SF - Lawrence
PF/C - Strickland

On paper, solves the offensive woes a bit. Defense would struggle though. And that's why Mick wouldn't do it.

Might be really good the next season if Lawrence sticks around.

you do know rubles and jackson are still around next year and nyarsuk

Well, I said on some other threads awhile back that Rubles/Jackson would man the 4 position next season, and other people said that if Lawrence committed to UC that he would pretty much start right away because he was a top 20-25 recruit. So I got denied on my assumption about Rubles/JJ. So I guess I'm just going with it since I got shot down.
