Uc is the team to beat but this commitment means mick may not need him

I definitely don't think Mick won't accept a commitment from Johnson if he wanted to commit. I think Morris might be a better option as he is more of a true point guard. Caupain was recruited as a point guard, but he can also play the 2.

IMO we land one of either Morris or Johnson. I think Mick would be happy either way. Adding Johnson gives you an interesting backcourt with two 6"3' long armed guards. They could cause some matchup problems and both are exceptional at getting to the rim. I will be ecstatic if we land either of the two to go along with Troy. I think it should be settled in a month or so.

So Mick has 4 to 5 schollies to play with depending on Obekpa.

Caupain, Morris, Lawrence, another big.

Scored 41 points in a win in January. That was following a holiday tournament in which he averaged 31.5 points. He had a 48 point game Jan. 30th. He has a knack for getting to the line and in the 2 40 point plus games he made a combined 40 free throws.

I know the above quote is old, but how nice to have this description about one of our commits. I hope as he develops he can help generate some easy buckets and free throws for the Cats. I really think that's something we haven't had enough of. This kid is a great pick-up! I'm happy we have him now. He won't be under the radar much longer.

He is awesome playing off contact.

Does anyone know if Troy is a true point guard or is he a shooting guard. Cash started all four years at point guard so I am just curious. If Guyn is Uc's point guard next year we are in trouble. He wants nothing to do with the ball and looks scared the whole time

Doodie, Cash's first year getting playing time was hardly a success. He was tenative and weak. He is in the 5th year here and has improved every year. Guyn is better than last year and will continue to improve. His on the ball defense is very good and his jump shot is better than last year. He'll improve.

UC will be fine next season. Especially if Kilpatrick returns. Caupain will be good and GG and Davis will continue to improve.

Like to see how many were scored at the ft line. I bet he scored double digits from there both games.

Another impressive performance from Troy tonight:

Congratulations to Troy Caupain @caupain10. His 36 points in 75-56 win over Manchester gives him over 1,000 points in his Titans career

Corey Pegram @Future150Corey: Cincinnati commit Troy Caupain had 42 pnts last night in Times Dispatch Invitational. Physical attacking guard w/ 6'3 size and nose for ball

it will be interesting to see what position he will play, wether he will be at the point or shooting guard

Seems like KJ at point and Caupain at the 2. Oh wait forgot about Morman...Cronin will have plenty of young options to play with.
