The fact that Terrell wants to get one last visit in to UC, tells me that he is not sure where he wants to go just yet. If we can leave a lasting impression a week before his decision, we have a shot. It would still amaze me if he went to Rhode Island, even though they sound like they are in great shape right now.

That's on my birthday too...:( That's not good news at all. Hopefully it doesnt mean anything, but i would say that ends it...

Chad Brendel @ChadBrendel: Despite reports to the contrary, my sources indicate Cincinnati is not scheduled to host any bball official visitors this weekend. #Bearcats

I'm still hearing Terrell will stay in the Northeast. Also told he really likes Hurley, but not to count Providence out.

Good we will take someone who wants to come here (Carrington)

Carrington shows how far our recruiting has come-our number two targets are more highly touted than most of our number one targets a few years ago. Carrington is filled with plenty of potential......

So Jerry Meyer from 247 tweets that Rhode Island is recruting terrell harder than uc. Tweeted this last week in response to a question. Terrell stated he wanted to come this weekend for a visit. Moorman becomes eligibl and Terrell is not visiting. That adds up to uc backed off. Little bit. Jd 111, Johnson, moorman all are shooting guards and two freshman. There are only so many minutes. He can go to Rhode Island in his back yard and be the man from day one. I would be willing to bet uc is not going after carrington that hard either. Why would mick have 4 two guards? There is more of need for a face up 4 man and wing. I understand everyone wanted Terrell including myself but you cannot have that many guys at the same spot. Carrington is not coming either IMO.

There will be
1 guard
1 wing
2 or 3 forwards depending on if Lawrence leaves and there not all getting playing time at the 2 spot either Johnson or Carrington if he commits will be a pg because Guyn will be leaving and Morman will more than likely be a wing so that leaves SK, Davis.

Johnson is not a point guard either is carrington. Carrington is the same type of guard Johnson is meaning. 2 guard who is quick and can attack but lacks a consistent shot from three. Johnson is not and will never be a point guard. Caupain is the starting point guard with guyn backing him up next year. Moorman is a 2 guard who could play some 3 in a pinch but not ideal. He is pushing 6'3 at the very most. Mick wants to play tall like Syracuse. This came out of his mouth not mine. We lose Jackson and rubles this year and maybe shaq next year. Remember shaq was originally a member of the 2010 class and went prep then sat out. He is i would guess 22 years old alreadyThere is a huge need for wings and face up 4. As much as people read about Moore wanting to be 3 he is not. He is very big and does not have the quickness he will be a 5/4 man. Moore and deberry are the two bigs. Then mick gets two interchangeable wing/ face up 4 men. I believe that is the plan however if mick misses on the guys he wants who knows.

You could be right about Johnson not playing any pg IMO he will redshirt this year but Carrington has said in a couple different interviews that if he comes to Cincinnati he can play on the ball which is pg and would like that position better than the 2. I'm pretty sure if you look up Carringtion aau stats he plays pg. Also if we can get Snider then we just talked about all this for nothing.

They would take Snider in a second but probably a long shot.

I'm just say Carrington wants to commit and can't because he has to wait to see what Terrell is going to do and Terrell doesn't want to come here then we will take Carrington with open arms

I dont think this is a Terrell situation anymore. Im in line with Jeff's earlier thinking that its Cincinnati's staff that is not pulling the trigger on Carrington if he truly wants to come here. With Morman being eligible I think they are set at guard for the forseeable future. The coaches may very well look at a homerun class being : Moore (or Onuaku), Clarke, and Grantham. That adds a lot more length and athleticism to a front court that needs depth.
