This on TN boards (vol nation)...take it for what it's worth
Charlotte (NC) Victory Christian center Ebuka Izundu is set to take his Miami official visit beginning today.
So far he's visited Cincinnati and Tennessee officially.
He lists over 20 scholarship offers, and he was initially a Charlotte signee before being released once the school's coach left.
"Miami was looking at me for 2016 but I reclassified so they didn't have an offer for me in 2015 at first," Izundu said. "But after their basketball season they offered it me."
He says heading into the visit that Miami "is my first or second pick."
Cincinnati is UM's main competition for now, although Izundu also plans to visit Arkansas after Miami.
"I'm not deciding anything till after Arkansas - we'll see after that," Izundu said.
Of UM, he says "I like that it's good coaches, good people. But the program, I don't know much about it yet."
Izundu has attended school in the U.S. the last three years, arriving from Nigeria when a recruiter spotted him playing there.
"I'm excited, it's been great," Izundu said. "In Nigeria I had the things I needed, it was just a little different than the U.S. People there have less than some of the people here have."
and...
FWIW, a historically reliable source on the Niner board said "UT likely out of the running."

You never really know what to believe during the recruiting process though unless a player comes out and directly says that X school is my favorite. Unless they're an asshat, they're never going to say "I didn't really like X school." Izundu is a classy kid, so he's going to be very complimentary of every school he looks at and handle himself with tact in the press.
That interview quoted above is the main reason I think Miami is where he ends up. It's hard not to like Miami. It's a great city with a great coach.
If not Charlotte, I'd much rather see him end up at UT. I like Barnes. Classy coach that is hard to dislike IMO.
