Good thing you can see into the future and know how every player will turn out. Jacob Evans is going to be very good. As I said, would have liked to have this kid, but it's not like we just missed on a 6'5 5* sharp shooter. This will be fine, it's going to be a good year next year.

It will be a great year next year. Jucos will help right away. Think about this Mick is sold on next year and wants back up right away. We will be fine.

You need great weather or players in nba. Huggs got his reputation from taking players nobody else would touch either from bad grades or trouble. He developed them guys into nba players and great community role models. Mick needs to gamble with same philosophy. Hire more tutors if need be just don't whatever it takes to get best players on campus. Too many troys, guyns and Sanders on team

The restrictions put in place by Nancy Zimpher are still there, Mick will never recruit Donald Little or Art Long type guys. He can't.

I sure would take Morman back. Bummer he left. Not sure if coaching staff could do anything more to keep him on campus, but i wish they did.

Ward was a surprise loss for Mick. He was certain Ward was a UC lean over Michigan State but things didn't work out. It happens in recruiting everyday multiple times. He has close relationships with a high number of big time recruits in the 2016 class. It wouldn't be a shock to see him grab 1-2 five star guys.

Every article that I read/saw for Ward did not show UC in his final 3.

Mick had close relationships with Scotty Hopson, Hasheem Thabeet Malik Beasley, Abu, Marquis Teague etc... Those all didn't work out so well and he was in the Big East then. Mick has gotten two 5* in 7 years and both lasted exactly one year. Not sure he gets two in one class unless he is hiring their coaches or fathers.

We are all still trying to figure that out. And when it comes to Ward it's the belief of the coaching staff and people inside the program it was UC or Michigan State.

So with that being said, can you see why I am skeptical that UC is going to get 1-2 five star recruits based on good relationships and beliefs from the coaching staff?

I don't for one second believes they'll land one or two, but they have a strong team next year so recruiting must not be too baf

I never said recruiting was bad, I like the incoming class.

On paper right now, yes the team looks pretty good. But then again they have not played one minute of the new season yet and practice has not even started. For UC to really compete some players really need to step up their game next year. We will see what happens. It would be nice to get a 4 year big man to replace Strickland.

UC is just a transfer/suspension/injury away from playing undermanned, that will be the kryptonite to next years team.

We do not have those problems! LOL. Lets hope not.

Mick is handcuffed when it comes to recruiting. The fact is our arena is a dinosaur compared to most programs. I mean hell I live 5 minutes from Middle Tennessee State and wouldn't put our arena up against theirs. Not only that but we play in the AAC. Major renovation/new arena and a new conference and I would be willing to bet that you'd see an immediate uptick in recruiting. At this point we are where we are. With that said we are going to be good next year, with a chance to be very good. I trust that the 2016 class is going to be a good one. Mick has an eye for talent (Cobb, Deberry) guys we hadn't heard of who were vital to our success last year. I mean hell we beat a solid B10 and played Kentucky tougher than most with the same team we have coming back. That alone is reason for optimism in my book. Going to be a fun team to watch next year.
