Have we ever had a full roster under Mick?

Both schools that were picked by our targets were both Nike schools. One of them plays exclusively on FS1.

Cronin is faced with a huge uphill battle. He is recruiting against coaches that can offer playing in P5 conferences on ESPN, against playing in the AAC against ECU, UCF, Tulsa and Tulane on ESPN Ocho or CBS Sports network, not to mention the status of the facilities.

Even in a battle with another mid major conference with a school that plays exclusively on FS1 UC loses the recruiting battle even though the recruit would be walking into an experienced team that will most likely made it to 6 straight tourneys with his old teammate as his PG. He would rather go to a more in experienced coach D1 wise.

Justin Jenifer will be a freshman this year and depending how the roster breaks down Jacob Evans could play the SG and even played PG in high school. I think right now we have the luxury of going for the best player regardless of position, after we get a 5 of course.

You forget that mick doesn't have the luxury of anything, we will get who doesn't have any other major options or guys that would ride the bench for other majors. Recruiting at u.c. is such a disappointment. Can't even land a Ashville transfer.

OK. Let's not do this whole thing again.

He needed a little taste of his own medicine, I'm good now. He clearly is just like the rest of us and he can stop acting like he is so superior because we now have proof. Recruiting is unpredictable and he shouldn't be as hard on others because we are all just fans who make guesses.

I had to let you guys have one since all you little boys were getting antsy...I think Rowsey made the right choice to go to a better school in a better conference who plays in a better arena.

Better school? Let me explain something to you. A friend of my daughter with a gorgeous singing voice and 3.8 GPA in high school applied to CCM and I even wrote a letter of recommendation. After CCM turned her down she was accepted at the University of Michigan. You really need to be careful when you bash a school because of your personality type and your own biases.

Flat out trolling...but that seems to be the norm with this poster

Better basketball school...

Disagree. Cincinnati now has all 18 games in conference nationally televised, the most we had in the Big East I believe was 13 games. Those AAC teams seem to have no problem seeing an uptick in recruiting. Mick has proven to be a mediocre recruiter, there is no way around that at this point. Look at the other offers our 2015 signees have, not a lot of big time programs in there.

Most are nationally televised on lower tier stations compared to P5 schools. Of course ECU, UCF are getting better recruits, it isn't like they were tearing up the recruiting trail before.

I see ECU as having no 16 recruits, and none rated for 2015, and Tulane is getting 3* recruits instead of 2*. UCF has been steady getting 3* recruits for the past 4 years, no uptick there. Tulsa has two 3* recruits coming in, two 3*'s last year steady as well.

How so?? We have more final fours, more championships, better all time record in the tournament? Curious as to what you're basing this off of. In terms of arena, current conference yeah they probably are. But better basketball school all time they simply aren't.

"Those AAC teams seem to have no problem seeing an uptick in recruiting." As in ECU, Tulane and Tulsa? So because they have seen an uptick in recruiting we should too? That's not even logical. They came from worse conferences. You continue to dog Mick's recruiting but we make the tourney every year. All we need is a couple 5 stars and we will break through. Rowsy would have been a huge get but Mick will find someone else just like he found Cobb.

So which of the three would you trade for Rowsey?

We've made what, 1 Sweet 16 since 2001? In that same period Marquette has made 3 Sweet 16's, an Elite 8 and a Final 4.

We are doomed....it is all over. Marquette and Miami are better programs...waaaaahhh....just kidding.

Seriously, our two available schollys are a luxury as we had two unproductive players give them back. If we can fill one with a post player that can put up 5 ppg that is an upgrade! Let's be honest, most of the available players right now are over hyped.

I get what you are saying about having two unproductive players give scholarships back. The extra two schollies are not a luxury though, everyone gets 13 and they are all necessary to build for the future and keep up with our competition and UC just whiffed on two top targets. You can't disagree that Rowsey is exactly what UC needs and has been lacking along with Izundu ( 4 year HS big man)

Has UC ever had a full season with a full roster under Mick?

Do any other schools hold scholarships?

Let's see. The last coach made one sweet 16 in his last nine years, and that came by beating the mighty #12 and #13 seeds in 2001, and that coach never beat a higher seed. Mick has one sweet 16 but he beat the higher seed ACC champion to get there.

Anyway you slice this, so far this spring has been a disappointment. Mick does a good job coaching what he has brought in, and contrary to what some believe he does get guys he goes after more than some admit (though they may not be guys the fan base get excited about), but there is no way around the fact that baring bringing Washington in this late signing period is a fail for the staff to this point.
