Comparing SK and Jarron now is like apples and oranges totally different stages to compare, let's compare them after his career. But let's all just be thrilled now that Cumberland is committed to UC, he is going to be special, and help this team for however long he is here. I'm excited to see how good he can be. A great get for the program.

Yes 100% agree!

Biggest get since Yancy

Think he can climb up into the top 25? Would be nice to have our first recruited all American since Johnson and satterfield.

True, but I can't imagine I'd be the only one worried if Duke and UK offers started to make its way in.

Also, you're forgetting Stephenson.

Just by looking at his Twitter and Instagram pages, he seems very, very excited to be a Bearcat. He hung out with his future teammates this past weekend. Love it.

Wilmington guard Jarron Cumberland will sign with #UC in a ceremony scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the high school library.

I'm hyped Jarron signed today. I was doing a little research and found an article from the Peach Jam, one of the bigger, if not the biggest AAU tournaments in the summer circuit, about him. Great write up and this kid sounds extremely promising. I'm surprised he wasn't ranked higher after his performance in this tournament. Can't help but get pumped up about his arrival a year from now.

"If there’s a player that’s raised his stock during the EYBL more than Mr. Cumberland, we’d like to see him. The 6-foot-4 sharpshooter was all kinds of awesome at the Peach Jam, compiling averages of 18.1 PPG, 55.4 FG%, 5.2 RPG for King James. He recently committed to in-state powerhouse Cincinnati, and after his Peach Jam efforts, Mick Cronin and company have to feel like they just won the lottery. He’s smooth, composed and a very physically imposing presence for a backcourt player. Cumberland has a very bright future ahead of him, and we’re glad to say his star status launched in the EYBL."
