Did any teams ahead of us in the polls lose?

Although i think the bench will shorten later in the year, loving the platoon style early, makes everyone feel like they're part of something, no one is going to be unhappy

Nobody wants to try and score on our halfcourt d

I agree. Slowing it down will be a recipe for disaster against us. Our half court D was the best part of our team last year. Why would anyone want to slow the game down and try to beat it? Especially while we are still trying to push the pace on offense.

If someone wanted to slow it down, the whole point would be so we couldn't push the pace on offense. Slowing it down against us is the only chance the large majority of the teams we play will have...ask Tulane and ECU.

Right. I totally understand. It will be interesting to see what teams do. Because once they try to slow the tempo of the game, they will be messing with a whole different monster in our half court d. We shall see.

The thing is, if you look at our schedule, there are tons of games where even if a team wanted to slow down the game, they just flat out aren't good enough to be able to. It feels like an automatic reflex to talk about how we shorten the rotation in conference play. But there are tons of games where it just isn't necessary to tighten things up. Obviously in the biggest of big games we may see less of a couple guys, but in general I think the 10 deep thing can work for more games than people realize.
