Dumbest post of 2017 so far.

We bring a hell of a team back, and clearly need a tougher schedule to get a better seed.

That's more analysis than you deserve.

Your not going to get a better seed than this year with more losses
The team might be a little better not alot

Yeah.....you will.

Louisville had 8 losses entering the tourney. Got a 2-seed.
Iowa State and Virginia had 10 losses. Earned 5-seeds.
Vanderbilt had 15 (!!) losses and got a 9-seed.

Know why? All those teams had tough strength of schedules. They look at this stuff. College hoops 101, man.

So will all of you be complaining at the end of the year about the tough schedule if we have 8-9 losses?

Comments like this are the epitome of a fan base that is never happy. Schedule tough=complain, Schedule easy=Complain

The thing Is we have 2 options:
1. Schedule moderately, win 30 games and few a tough games and get a shitty 6 seed
2. Schedule hard and potentially lose 8-9 games and get an 8-9 seed. But lost only 4 and get a protected seed.

Ill take option 2 every single time. You give your self chances to move the needle by picking up marquee wins. With an Easy schedule, sure its low risk and we can win 30 games, but you won't get any damn respect for it even if you win them all.

Kenpom released his early preseason top 10 last month and assuming it holds, we could end up with 3 games against the kenpom top 10.

Wichita State: #5 X2
Florida: #7

Who cares if your a 6 seed you should win no matter what seed you are

Those teams get those seeds because every game they play in conference is a hard game even the bad teams in their conference are still better than our good teams

That's why we have to schedule strong out of conference. If we don't we don't have a chance at a better seed. Yeah, we might lose a couple more but we might win also. you can win as a lower seed, but it's a lot harder. Dont understand your logic

This year was perfect we just didn't show up in the big game
I'd rather win 30 against whoever then lose 10.....

wow.

Thats a pretty terrible way of preparing yourself for tough teams.

So you'd literally be happy if UC booked 14 buy games instead of tough games?

Thats nuts. And Im sooooo glad that the staff doesn't think like you otherwise, we'd be 30-2 with a 10 seed like Wichita state.

Funny cuz Wichita state is better than us even with the weaker schedule

I don't want 14 buy games I want winnable games not paid for

It doesn't matter your record or seed you have to win all games

Tougher games just make your record worse, we will not win all of Xavier, Florida miss.st, ucla.

so you think playing nobodies in your non con and your conference is going to help you win games in the tourney?

Hmmm.

We all know our conference doesn't prepare us for the tourney all that well so we have to play tough teams in the part of the schedule that we can control.

I mean I Guess this is why people loved huggs so much. When you look back at his records you always saw 25+ wins. and the record reflects a lot of wins. But in his last 9 years he had just 1 sweet 16 and a bunch of early tourney exists. And he was getting good recruits. Could it be that he wasn't getting tested enough in the regular season?

You would rather win 30 games against cupcakes, than play good teams with the chance to lose? That's an interesting take

George Washington went 30-1 one year and played no one. They got an 8 seed. This is what you want? How is that fun? How does that help? What does that do for us?
You would rather play a 3rd grader and win every game, than play someone you can lose to? This is what you are saying?
