College basketball cannot keep this transfer rule... It will destroy the sport. Uc looking like turning over a complete roster.... But many many many other schools doing the same. It's a problem.
Welp, in hindsight I guess it did speak to Brannen's character that Chris Mack was his best friend.

I just don't see what we do as a program if all of his own recruits leave. You have to get rid of him. We can't bring in 8+ guys every year.
Like I said over a month ago, if you're getting rid of him, you have to do it now. Bring somebody in that can grab some transfers and go all out on the local guys.
I honestly can’t find a single reason for any player to stick around.
It is absolutely insane, I understand making a one time rule for this season because of covid, but this is ridiculous. I remember just a few years ago it was expected you might lose one guy to transfer, if you lost 2 guys that was a lot. Now some teams are losing 5,6,7 guys.
Okay Eason lets get this over with, just have your mom make the tweet
I think anyone can transfer for free this year. Going forward players only get one free transfer, but that requirement is waived in 2021 due to Covid I believe.I think DeJulius stays, he already transferred once, so he won't get a free transfer.
I do wonder if it would have been different if Gilbert just hit that shot. Would have been less of a bad taste and would have looked a little better. But whatever, getter to where I’m just out on sports. Find something else to doYou do have to wonder that if we would have beaten Houston, would this still be a thing?
A 40 point loss to end the year is bad news.
Reality is... John isn’t getting fired because we don’t have 4.5 million for his buy out plus his replacements cost.
So we are stuck with CJB for at least two more years. As even after next year it only drops down to 3.8 million and he gets a 1 million retention bonus.
We stuck with his Ash from Evil Dead looking ass.
It is what it is.
Find a way to patch the hole in the ship and hope we make it to shore

Definitely seems we are stuck with Brannen for a while, unless we can negotiate a lower buy out with him or fire him with cause (if there are really major locker room issues maybe it could happen).
I don’t know. I would say all these young guys who were stars on their hs/aau find themselves sitting behind other guys on a losing team (or barely 500) probably think they should get more minutes. I bet if you asked Mikey what his goal is he would straight faced say to play in the nba, as remote as that chance is he probably believes he can do it. So he is looking for the opportunity to get him there, even know that opportunity probably doesn’t exist. Not many guys will be willing to sit behind other guys on a sub par team.
Be curious what comes out of all these opt outs... No chance everyone stays quiet. If tari leaves.. absolutely zero chance his mom does.
Lobot said:I wish I had deeper connections frankly but when I was at the game on Saturday I heard some interesting things. Unfortunately I can't go into detail on who said what without making important people mad at me. It had been awhile since I'd been in a room with some of them. Some of the folks I was meeting for the first time so it was hard to read some of it but now that I look back at it, I can say that everything was not wine and roses and it's just now making sense to me as to why.
I think you're looking at a full out player revolt like Gregg Marshall had at WSU after last year.
