Temple is #43 RPI. I don't want them to lose bc they'd drop out of the Top 50. Having an easier path to the finals would be nice, but we'll probably run into SMU anyway and Memphis isn't that much worse than Temple or UConn IMO. I just want our resume to look as good as possible and whoever ends up on our side of the bracket, so be it. We're not going to be an easy out.

We only need Temple to lose if we lost to Memphis. If Cincinnati beats Memphis then Temple's record is irrelevant to our seed.

Right. I'm just saying that I think I'd rather take the 4 seed if we lose to Memphis, rather than have Temple lose and drop out of the Top 50. BC NC State isn't guaranteed to end in the Top 50 either, so that could put us at 21-10 with suddenly only 4 RPI Top 50 wins going into the conference tournament. That'd be a little dicey.

I don't understand this -> we have 6 RPI top 50 wins and pretty much the same record and RPI as ohio state who only has 1 top 50 win...yet we are closer to the bubble than they are. That is just mind boggling to me. I realize the ecu and Tulane losses affect it but it should be more about who you can beat. Because come tourny time, you're not playing any bad teams. Prove you can play with the big boys

Nice work NTS. While I'd like to avoid UConn in the XL Center 1st round, I'm not sure I'd like to play Memphis twice in the same week. Feel like it'll be tough to beat 'em both times.

Just win. I want to win every game regardless.

I think we win the conf tourney. By sweeping SMU and beating Tulsa away we have shown we can beat the best team(s) in the conference. Also takes away any speculation about the NCAA.

I don't know about winning the conference tourney but its a possibility. What's crazy to think if we didn't lose the ECU and Tulane game, we would be in 1st place.

I think Houston will get past Tulane and give Tulsa a scare. Cougars have won 3 straight and Tulane has lost 10 of 12.

I'll post odds for each team tomorrow.

I know a lot of people point to UConn as the team that could make a run in the AAC (for good reason), but I think Temple, which has everyone healthy, might be the team that makes a run - including an upset of SMU to get to the final.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe we are the only team in the conference who has beaten every other team. I like our chances to win this thing as much as anyone. If we win the tournament, we are looking at a top 25 RPI with 8 wins vs. the top 50. I think that would put us no worse than a 6 seed, and maybe a 5. If we get to the championship game and lose, I think it bumps us up to a 7 and at least gets us out of the dreaded 8-9 range.

Correct. This is the second year in a row that Cincinnati was the only team to have at least one win over every other team in the conference. I also agree that if we win the conference tournament, we are probably a 7 seed and if not we'd be in the 8/9 game.

I would be happy with whatever result gets us out of the 8/9 game. If UCONN beats us and we fall to 11.....great! We'll play a tougher first round game, but we'll have a better chance of a sweet 16. If we win out, finish on an 8 game win streak, I think we could possibly get to a 6 seed as well, but surely 7. Just hoping we don't have another 1st round loss. Win one at least. Everything else would be gravy. No wins for a third straight year would be a huge disappointment.

NTS, do they only have odds for the conferences that don't have byes or something? I have seen literally every conference except the American.
