The most interesting part of part 2 was Coach Tressel's great praise for Jones.
“Later on, I saw Coach Tressel,” said Reardon, “and I asked him about Butch Jones. Coach Tressel said, ‘I don’t know him very well at all, but I want to tell you, I think he’s the best young coach in America.’ I said, ‘Wow! That just validates what I already thought.’ Then Coach Tressel said he actually called the AD at Cincinnati and recommended Butch Jones for the job. He told (Mike Thomas) that Butch was a great up and coming coach, and they needed to jump on him.”
