Cronin, "this team has great potential"

My gut says Sanders starts over Clark early, but the young pup is going to see a lot of clock this year. He and Ellis on the floor together will produce a ton of second chance opportunities...

I love the thought of Caupain, KJ, Thomas, Clark and Ellis on the floor. Picked the same line up in a different thread by January, but with Mick's love of veterans, and Sanders steadiness, it wouldn't surprise me to see something similar to GG/Caupain last year at the 4 with Sanders/Clark throughout the season.

I want to see what kind of offense Cronin installs with some actual big men. We have been deprived for years now and its time to see some changes. We have been in dire need for some inside/outside action. It will be a shame if we don't see this happen.

I think it will be the same offense, Minus the find SK when the shot clock runs down. We still worked the ball inside last year, the difference I hope to see this year is less missed layups. While I loved JJs hustle. He didnt really like kicking the ball back out and repositioning. He tried to take his man on too many times while not in the greatest position to make a basket, Hence the so many missed layups.

How is he not in shape? It bewilders me sometimes when D1 college athletes aren't in shape! That's really all they do is play.

I'll be optimistic, we still have time! I will say this, if he is not in shape by game time he will not be playing for Mick. The Bearcats are deep this year, Strickland along with a few others have to be ready to run the floor! We have time.

I will be optomistic as well, it just baffles me sometimes. He has a world-class trainer and gym that he can live in during the offseason, so it just doesn't make sense to me.

I am ready for the season to start yesterday...didn't think season tix were in the budget this year, but couldn't pass up the $99 season ticket offer...this season will have its ups and downs, but I love knowing the Bball program will play hard every game...
Go Bearcats!

You have to love Mormon's quote at the end of the article on Cincinnati.com, he's going to be something special on defense. Love his attitude.

Saw this link on Twitter...echoes the comments Mick made in the video above...excited to see what this kid can bring to the floor this year...and I must say, his vertical isn't too shabby...
Go Bearcats!

Jon Rothstein @JonRothstein Cincinnati's Gary Clark will be one of the more productive freshmen in the AAC. Should start for the Bearcats @ PF. 6-7 + relentless. MOTOR.

As you know this is the guy I've been highest on in this class. Cut from the warrior mold of Hicks / Maxiell with a better feel for the game. Honestly, with him and Ellis in the post I don't worry about rebounding and I think we will have one of the better rebounding guard tandems in the country as well.

What's scary is he is so much more versatile than the two guys you mentioned. The sky is the limit for him. I'm not worried about defense, rebounding, chemistry, or depth with this squad. Only major concerns are scoring and inexperience.
