If you can't beat uconn with out larrier, Gilbert and Adams you might be a D2 school.

This games says nothing about Houston and more that uconn sucks without its 3 best players

Any guesses on conference record given the first set of games being played?

I still am thinking/hoping for 15-3. With 1 home hiccup against either SMU/Houston/Temple. And 2 road losses. I would think that would have us solo win the conference, and set us up to be around a 5-6 seed. Xavier game will have some to do with seeding as well.

We won't lose a home game to Temple this year.

True but at the same time, Houston has offensive weapons. They will be tough to beat.

Sure.

They can easily do to us what Marshall did to us. Im just saying that while Houston is probably 3rd best team in the league, they also just beat a really crippled UCONN team who just cant beat anyone.

Rob Gray has a top 10 ORTG for players who are used at the same rate as him.

If we win that game, and don't have any bad losses, we will stay in the top 25

I honestly think we can defend home court all year long in the AAC.

Obviously Xavier looks to be finally clicking after last night so that game is a concern.

But, if we grind them out in Away games, and play our normal game at home, I think we can have success.

I'm thinking we only drop 2 conference games this year. Really hoping we can get Xavier too, think we have a real chance. I would say 5-6 seed would be a disappointment for me.

This post has a truck-ton of confidence. I'm not ready to start shouting 27-4. Possible, yes, but man, that's just setting the bar awfully high. At this point, nothing about a 5-seed would disappoint me.

I am very confident in this team, and I could see 26-5 and getting a 4 seed as Long as we win the conference tourney. But I really don't think 27-4 is a crazy stretch, just have to continue to show up in the big games. Think about it this way we are 11-2 now, will be 12-2 I think the Tulane game is pretty much a given. So we have to go 15-2 or 14-3 in the last 17, against maybe a better of average of opponents, but not as high level of competition. I think it's pretty reasonable to think this team will be able to do that.

You are nuts there's atleast 4 more losses

We just eliminated 1 of our 4 top 100 road opponents as it stands today. We should not lose on the road to anyone else below that. 1 home game which will be a toss up but otherwise we should handle the others. If we can somehow split these 4 remaining tough games and throw in one more unexpected loss...That's 26-5. I would be disappointed with less than 25-6 at this point. We can't control our poor shooting nights or hot shooting nights by other teams so I like the 25-6 number right now. Hopefully that is good for a 4 seed or better...Not sure.

I don't care what our record is(to a point) as long as we are healthy and peaking around conference tournament time.

Peaking at the right time is great...But getting a bad seed and having to beat all the best teams in your bracket really lowers your chances.

You won't have to play a lot of the best teams because they lose( AT LEAST IN MY BRACKET) I hope we get at least a 6 seed but if we don't stay healthy it won't matter.

Lol... I hear you! In fact the only time in the modern era that we made a final four was because teams got knocked off in front of us. Although I think that was a great team and could play with anyone.

Funny story. I won a basketball signed by the entire final four team when they called my ticket number at a game. It was early in the season and I didn't expect to be quite that good so I played open gym with the ball and wore the signatures off...Lol!

I was in college... What do you expect? Buying a new basketball was like the cost of a case of beer.
