Is he thinking about going pro? I can't see him being any good in the NBA within the next 4 years. Yeah, he's 7'6 but he can't really guard a mobile big and he can't hide in a zone in the NBA.

Hes projected late first rounder. and the 2nd "best" center in the draft. And for a guy that big, how long can he stay healthy?

I can see both sides of it. But I personally feel like he'd benefit from another year of conditioning and working on his offensive game, all while playing on a good team in college.

Hopefully they're a tournament team next year.

If he returns, they'll have the potential to be a very dangerous team.

G- BJ Taylor (18 PPG as a sophomore)
G- Dayon Griffin (Transfer from LaTech who scored 11 ppg as a sophomore)
G/F- Aubrey Dawkins (Transfer from Michigan who I'd say is one of the Top 5 NBA prospects in the conference)
G/F- AJ Davis (Two-year starter who can score and rebound)
C- Tacko Fall (The biggest problem we've had to deal with this year)

This is huge....Cincinnati, Witchita, UCONN, & SMU should be in the tourney every year..4 teams in the tournament each year, you cant complain about that. Plenty of opportunities to get a better seed!

Sprinkle in a good year here and there by Houston, Temple, or UCF and we're cookin. Tulsa could join that too as soon as they fire Frank Haith (or whenever he bails bc he is about to get them in trouble with the NCAA).

I think this has to happen from the AAC perspective. The conference should expand over the next couple years to better prep for the Big 12 exodus (Texas and OU) and the realignment fallout. I wouldn't be surprised if the American had 14 or 16 members by 2021.

What is whichita with out their coach tho? If he leaves, which he Prob will, whichita is back to being whichita

Wichita*

He's getting paid a ton and the school has a lot of financial support. I've also mentioned this before, but when I lived in Chicago my friend had Loyola season tickets right behind the announcers (they are in the MVC). After a game we were talking to one of them and he said there were "red flags" with Marshall. Didn't go into detail so idk but that might be part of why he hasn't gotten another job. And even if he does leave, who says they'll be terrible? They'll pay up for a coach and will be in a better conference. There have been a lot of good AAC basketball hires lately. Plus, they had Mark Turgeon before Marshall, and they weren't bad. They weren't at-large good then, but they've been winning for well over a decade.

Just a thought. Id still take them.

Also I can't spell at all. I'll admit that up front for any future misspellings

Haha I just let you know on that one bc if they join we'll be seeing it a lot. Took me a while too. I used to go with Witchita.

Maybe the "red flags" were about his wife yelling and cursing at games??

You know as a guy who survived the years between Jucker and Hugs I really appreciate the fact he rescued us. What I have a hard time with is how he left us. Fat, drunk and arrogant is not a way to say thank you to a fan base that loved him. His battle over his self induced dimissal almost killed this program.
