The ball was inbounded and the recipient went out of bounds to throw the ball back in. He did not step inbounds making the pass. He inbounded it....legal...but the guy who caught it had brain lock and went behind the end line to inbound it again. Lack of concentration.

Go Bearcats!

They both screwed up on that one. You can't throw the ball to a guy heading out of bounds and vice versa. As Jacob said...we weren't even getting pressed...it was a bone head play x 2.

Also, the coach needs to explain to the players (or develop situational strategies) about that 5 second rule. If we are across half court we should remember we don't have to feel pressure to get rid of the ball especially in free throw situations at the end of the game.

What exactly is the new rule? Players might not be the only ones forgetting about the new rule, I saw a ref start a 5 second count on us in that game when we had the ball across mid court. That could have been a ref mistake, but if a player sees the count he's gonna think twice about holding the ball.

You have to be dribbling the ball, you can't just hold the ball as long as you are dribbling there is no 5 second count.

Then this is clearly why Troy passed it to Ellis. Why did the announcer suggest he hold it when he was doubled.

Yeah that surprised me that Troy gave the ball up go Ellis to get fouled. Maybe he just didn't want to get trapped and tied up...and Ellis did drill both FT.

Not sure which way the possession arrow was pointing but its a huge risk to get tied up when your getting trapped. Ellis i think made 31 free throws in a row last season ( dont remember the specific number) so while Ellis sometimes is more a 1/2 kinda guy, Its not like your asking Shaquille O'neal to shoot them

They had to foul right away in that situation. They were chasing the ball to foul...not to get a held ball turnover

Great to leave with a couple solid wins. Few things:

Our defense is very worrisome. The whole matchup zone can create a lot of confusion for other teams at times, but it also creates confusion for our guys. All it takes is one mis-step and a wide open 3 is the result. Down the road, we can't afford to give teams warmup jumpers on back to back possessions and go from a tie game to down 6 in 45 seconds. I would have liked to see Mick change things up and give GW a different look, but hey, I'm not the coach.

I feel weird complaining about defense after only giving up 56. I'm not necessarily all talking about today. Our effort is tremendous - it's just the rotation lapses at times. We have to guard the line a lot better against Butler, Xavier, ISU, etc.

The three guard lineup to close the game was very effective, and Farad and Kevin weren't even hitting shots. Just another dimension we can throw out there.

Why don't you like KJ? I'm guessing in your opinion you would rather not have him here at Cincinnat If that's the case, OK. Point said! Sad!

Please tell me what exactly I said to make you claim that I don't like KJ? I said the three guard lineup was effective even with him and Farad not hitting shots - meaning they still played well. If they hit shots the lineup is even more dangerous.

Basically let it be known he's KJ(family or friend)
