Can't believe this subject is still being discussed. Troy is the leader of this team and there isn't any room for debate on it.

Speaking of practice...man, this team could use some time on the practice court. Defense has struggled at times and the offense is too content to lapse into the bad habits of last year when faced with resistance. Not going to complain about wins, though. GW beat a tough Virginia team and has a veteran squad. Take the W and learn from the mistakes.

Start the season with 7 games in 15 days, and there isn't much room for improvement in practice. December is tough with Butler, X, VCU and Iowa State but there is time for development in between. Mick will have the team better after this stretch and ready to play any style in the coming weeks...

It's what you've done consistently for a decade...
LMAO!!!! Consistently all the way back to Bearcatnews and Cindy.com. Actually I wish our wings played with the same consistency as L-T has displayed with his bull sh##t through the years.

I didn't get to see the game but a win over an undefeated team with some
quality wins is awesome. This gives the team some confidence going into
the Butler game on Wed.

Chad you been running all season. Caupain has one good game and your back talking shit. Dude stop it, you have ZERO inside info. I'm on outside and call it better than you.

I'll take Evans or Ellis for team leader role. Evans looks to score every time we're struggling. We look out of sorts when Ellis isn't locked and loaded. Nobody on team looks up to Caupain.

LT and Trolldog still trying to put down Troy. I really don't get it, it's clearly obvious you were both wrong about Jenifer so just take your lumps and STFU. Quit trying to bring down the best player on our team because you can't admit you're both morons.

Please, nobody bite on this. Not worth it.

BD, you can't anoint a freshman as team leader. I'm sure the team looks up to Troy, as I'm sure they do to Octavius, Cory, and Farad. We have a lot of leaders. We don't need just one.

Honestly I am at a loss for words after Bulldog's comments. Someone who has watched this UC team this season can't be serious saying Evans is the team leader. It's laughable the stuff you post BD.

I got lucky in that the Nebraska game was on Altitude TV out of Denver and the GW game was on Comcast Mid Atlantic. Thankfully didn't have to sit through the ESPN3 streaming problems.

Maybe Chad or someone who doesn't believe Jacob Evans should be team leader can answer this: what are 2 or 3 things we should watch for over the next month improvement wise (outside of wins/losses)? I sensed some hesitation and uncertainty in the last 2 games - passing up open looks or waiting too long to make the pass that was there - that one would think will get better as the team comes together.

For Evans and Jenifer, maybe it comes down to patience? Really don't have a problem with the occasional questionable shot (they're freshmen) but especially on Jenifer's side, it seems like he's really trying to force the action sometimes. The level of opposition kicked up a notch this weekend and it's a good teaching moment for him to realize that the passing/driving lanes aren't going to always be as open as they were in HS, or against Robert Morris.

What impressed me most this weekend was that Nebraska and GW both had stretches where they played extremely well, or at least shot the ball well, and got little to no separation from our guys. GW hit what, 8 or 9 threes in the 1st half and their biggest lead was 6. It was also pretty obvious that with limited prep time, the D was designed to take away each team's primary option and they did that very well both games. Lastly, it's evident that last season's slog of close games and down the stretch finishes have matured this team into a very tough out when the game is on the line. No panic, no pressure, they just ran their stuff, got tough rebounds and played close to mistake free from the 5 minute mark in. Experience is a helluva teacher, wouldn't you say? Nice to have a veteran team.

Leader doesn't equal the best. Learn sports

It's more in him than troy. He understands when it's time for a bucket. Small sample size but yeah he's going to be a leader

The lack of confidence this team has in Troy was evident last year when they gave him the final shot with the game on the line against Purdue.

He's a troll just like LD. People should block them and never quote their posts. Plenty of people disagree on here, but only those 2 do it in a way that is disruptive. They should both get perma bans, but don't for whatever reason. They've even made mods quit the forum. That's pretty hard to do.

We should just move on. It's such dumb point who's the leader. Who cares? We are 7-0 with Butler up next. That game will a tough one if we play like last 2 games. Butler's offense is relentless

Exactly. And even more evident yesterday when he was the one with the ball in his hands with the game on the line.
