Its looking like its true. PLAY management has positively ID'd 4 UC players in the attack and the guy is pressing charges.

Lets hope the security footage shows a different story but I have a bad feeling about this

Wow, how stupid can you be!!! This morninng they still aren't releasing names because of investigation. Hoping for the best and waiting till everything comes out.

looks to me like this guy is wanting money...he has a street fight on youtube...and he took a news crew to the station to film him filling out the report...i am hoping this gets cleared up quick

It may be true. Im sure something happened but I am sure the security footage will make it clear.

Seems very odd that someone would call fox 19 to make it known they are filing a police report.

Here is street fight video.

He is probably a X fan trying to steer the bad publicity away from the real gangstas of Cincinnati.

I agree that this is not a great thing for UC, but these things happen with college students. Neither UC or X is Duke, so both schools have to recruit players with some flaws if they want to stay competitive. I think this is a money/publicity grab, but just like the Rey Maualuga deal, it may pay off. I do believe UC will move on from this pretty quickly.

Who exactly would this guy be getting money from? He doesnt seem too bright so maybe he thought he could get money somehow since he is calling the news and reffering to them as UC players.

Who would be paying this guy? These guys dont have money and UC wouldnt give him anything...

So has anyone heard who may have been involved? I know I shouldn't speculate, but I will anyway. My money is on Ellis and Guyn being involved.

not good

this sucks just when everything is going good some idiots do this. it might cost cronin his job and after the x brawl they will have to get rid of whoever it was. this fuckin sucks

A "7 footer" is who the guy claimed punched him.

This would be Cheik/Gaines/Ellis it would seem. Unless Yancy was there but I think that would have leaked out.

Maybe Justin could be confused for a 7 footer if you are embelishing. I dont know.

This is not being reported by ANYONE else. Not channel 5,9 or 12, or even Cincinnati.com. This seems a bit suspect at this point and I am not putting much credibility into this until more information comes out, if it ever does.

Let's see how this plays out first. Something about this just doesn't seem right. The accuser seems almost proud of this. A poster of Bearcat News noted the accusers re-telling of events on his facebook account. We might have guys at fault. If they are they should be punished. It just seems there is more to this story.

I would imagine the university and/or the police are trying to hush the media outlets so an investigation can be performed.

More than likely, this isn't a conspiracy by PLAY and the manager to unfairly go after UC players. Apparently this was a hangout that bearcat players have gone before. From what I hear, there are quite a bit of witnesses. Yes the bouncer is trash, but this may get real ugly on all sides if he continues to press charges(which it looks like he will)
