Celebrities, which UC basketball players are, get baited by people looking for a buck all the time. From the video the guy does not look like the brightest light on the Christmas tree. Maybe he does not realize college players are broke, or maybe he figured he could cash in on their future pro contacts. Or he could simply be a XU fan out to stir up trouble for UC.

In the end, I believe this will turn out to be much ado about nothing. The problem is hardly anyone remembers the end result, only the incident. Ask Art Long about that. All you hear is Art Long punched a horse. Art's story was he was petting the horse. It took the jury all of 7 minutes to decide Art was telling the truth and acquitted him. How many people ever bring that fact up?

Sounds like your conspiracy theories are incorrect. Its not going away

Why bother arguing with Ralph in this situation (well I guess arguing with him in any situation is pointless)? You know what he is going to say regardless of what happened.

i found it funny when Willie asked the fox19 news guy about what they found in their investigation...fox19 actually investigates their reports?...and where are people getting the report that this guy was fired?

This reminds me of an incident at X about 5 years ago. Will Caudle was accused of hitting someone at a bar. It was brushed under the carpet eventually, hopefully this does as well. Lots of the evidence doesn't seem to add up so far.

But it sure sounds like you don't want it to go away and you're enjoying this.

Uh no. I'm sick of the negative PR in the National media about UC. We've had an unfair shake as of late and it gets on my nerves. Yes I think the victim is an idiot, but he was physically beaten. He has every right to press charges against his attackers. Him and PLAY management along with others on his facebook wall are identifying four UC players. That is worrisome. That is something you just don't brush away if you are the authorities.

As much as the guy may be white trash or whatever, he has physical injuries. That is not going away.

I hope he is lying and gets what is coming to him. I just don't think he would go to such extremes for 15 minutes of fame as Ralph is suggesting.

My guess is nothing happens of this. First and foremost this club better hope like hell these four players are all over 21 or they are the ones that will be in serious trouble. If any one of these players is underage it will be this bouncer's word and credibility against his own employers who will deny, deny, deny anything happened. I did a roster check and Davis, Thomas, Ellis and Sanders are all underage. Suprisingly everyone else is over 21, even Gaines and Guyn.

The fact that this guy waited to file a police report until the next day and until cameras could show up makes me question his credibility. The youtube video doesn't do much to help his credibility either. Any good lawyer can convince a jury this guy is an idiot if it comes to that. Does anyone know if UC has a lawyer that would handle this type of situation or are these players on their own for representation?

And since when are people accused of crimes names not public information? I watch the news everyday and always hear of names of people being suspects or accused of crimes. Channel 19 goes out to film this crap and doesn't get the names of the players?

Why do you think Willie keeps saying Octavius Ellis on the podcast? Do you think he knows or is just messing with the Fox reporter for not disclosing?

Let this die. You will not find out the truth from this guy's facebook page. I can guarantee you that you do not know the details about this or what actually happened. It has been cleared up but not made public because it was a guy trying to get attention about something that he took too far and it backfired on him. It was an accusation, nothing else. You will not find the truth on facebook. It is not a big deal and will go away soon if people don't continue to keep it alive. The right people know what happened and it is being resolved, or going away on it's own.

Did you read the bearcats premium info? Andrew from rivals just disclosed five players who were present and a lot of the details.

Meanwhile the Bearcat Lair guys don't seem to be too worried.

We'll see what happens. I think I'm leaning towards your POV now

Updated. Seems more unlikely much comes out of this. After interviewing others who were working that night no one saw the incident and management is saying they didnt see it either.

Guy claims that his General Manager was with him. The general manager is a guy who went to my high school which is a interesting note. If the GM doesnt back the guy its over.

No charges have been filed.

Much ado about nothing, Channels 5, 9, and 12 never bothered with it and WLW radio has dropped it.

Read some internet posts that the players were not from UC, they play for Cincinnati State.

I believe there was an incident and UC basketball players were involved. I think PLAY just knows it is going to do them a lot of harm if they push hard on this. They probably think it isnt that big of a deal (why they didnt call cops) and dont want to take the hit for having underaged drinking.

My take exactly.

How many times in the NFL do you see a player instigate something and the guy who retaliates gets the penalty?

This guy instigated a fight, got what he wanted, but got taken down, now he's bitching and moaning about it. Waaaa.

And it sounds like the underage thing could be a problem for the bar, so I see them denying it and moving on, if they know what's best for them.
